First 3 seasons of Boardwalk Empire are some of the best TV ever produced.

Acting and Production Design are almost unparalleled IMO.

Best depth of supporting characters and guest stars of maybe any show ever. You went into every week hoping to see a half dozen players that may only be there 1-2 episodes a season.

They never knew what to do with Margaret and that hamstrung the show greatly in the second half, and it also suffered from Sopranos-itis: If you're a second-rate gangster, the emergence of legit big players makes your failure inevitable.

couldn't say it better than this

It's a great series. But I rate Peaky above it without question.

Peaky Blinders run really ends in season 2 w/ Sam Neil leaving the show. That had a real air of finality but, of course, they need to squeeze every penny out of it so it still goes on for some reason.

The character was removed as a result of him being impossible to deal with on set, at least that is the last rumor I saw about it.

Great show. Top notch acting and writing. Terence Winter of course, so that's not a surprise.

Not above Sopranos IMO but after that and Breaking Bad and BCS.
