I always get told to turn it down when the intro music plays because I make sure to turn the bass up on the surround sound. Doing a re-watch of season 2 now

Yes, I can. Should I watch more of something I didn't find entertaining based on your arbitrary standard? If you like it, have fun watching it, I thought it sucked.

You claim to have the ability to judge a shows merit on the pilot. You think Succession sucked after watching the pilot.

2 years, 9 Emmys, 23 nominations.

Hmmm...

I like Succession but the profanity and crudeness is over the top. It's like WOWS x1000. It takes a lot for me to even notice that stuff, much less find it distracting.

I agree to an extent. It's not necessarily the profanity, but Roman is just over the top. If they toned him down some, I think it would actually make the show even better than it is.

We get it. He's a weird creep, but we don't have to be reminded of that pretty much every time he speaks.

Easily one of the two or three best shows in the last ten years.

Like everyone else, I started this show and hated all the characters and the family in general.

But DAMN I’m hooked. They’re scum but once you accept it they’re fun to watch. Tom is probably the best character & Greg is for sure going for win the Game of Thrones.

Also, Tom confronting the side dude at the wedding and being a tough rich guy by threatening to pay someone to break his legs was classic.

Once I figured out that you are suppose to hate every single character, and that the writers toy around with your hatred levels and adjust them up and down, I started to get it

The head honcho old man is the only character on the show I have a shred of respect for, and when he backhanded mcaully culkin’s tiny sniveling piece of shite brother across the face, I actually stood up and clinched my fist.

Also, kind of like better call Saul, the scenery is always very beautiful and well shot and is another character in the show altogether

I saw Greg make an appearance while binge watching some of the One Slice pizze review videos. I think he showed up in the one where Bon Jovi was a guest reviewer. They started talking about Succession and it reminded me that I've been meaning to watch. We finally finished our 4 season binge of The Crown so now is the time.

We just finished the episode where Kendall tried to make his big power move and issued a vote of no confidence. That entire sequence had me sitting on the edge of the couch. So so good.

I used to work in an environment where Roberts Rules of Order were used regularly and there is no way in hell they should have started the vote with Logan still in the room. I blame Frank on that frick up.

Also, I can't tell if the Lawrence and Roman votes were changed at the last minute or if they were planning to frick over Kendall the entire time. If you watch Roman's dinner with Lawrence, I don't think Lawrence ever point blank said "i'll vote for the motion". I guess we'll find out soon.

I think Lawrence just went with the flow of the meeting, saw Logan was likely going to win the vote, and went with the winning horse.

Roman flat out pussed out in the presence of his Dad. If Logan wasn’t in the room I think he votes with Kendall.

starting season 2...watched the first episode before The White Lotus came on.

What a great start to the season. Logan with the zingers...."Open the doors. It smells like the cheesemonger died and left his dick in the brie. I need to breathe."

I feel like Kieran Culkin watched Robert Downey Jr's entire catalogue in order to craft his portrayal of Roman.

So I binged most of the first season this weekend, and I'm hooked. Wouldn't put it on the same level as Sopranos, but very good and ready to watch more.

I'm not even a fan of the rich Wall St. types, but the drama, story and characters are entertaining.

It’s crazy that a drug addict POS who’s a shitty father and let someone die to save face is the character you root for the most (except Gregg and Tom I suppose).

I guess I'm in the minority but I pull for Logan. I think it's just based on Brian Cox. He kills this role. The subtleness in which he conveys things is so good.

Kendall is annoying as frick. Constant cringe.

what a baller move at the end of season 2 though, also why am I rooting for Kendall?

I think he's supposed to be the main "protagonist" of the story?
