I mean they really blew it wit season 3.

But any m/tv board browsers that haven't seen it yet should watch season 1 and then never start season 2.

It is great

I don't think it was overlooked. It was really popular at the time. If they had left it at one season or done better with the following seasons it would be talked about more, I'm sure.

As someone that goes to the Keys a few times a year, I absolutely loved this show. Season 1 was really only one worth a shite.

Sucks man. This show had a fall off similar to Heroes, at least Heroes can blame the writer strike.

Season one was incredible, when it ended I was sure that season 2 was set up to be one of the great seasons of television in history, and then it just went to shite.

Spoilers

If anyone decides to watch it for the first time, be warned Season 3-Episode 9 is beyond words when it comes to the worst of the worst of anything that’s ever been on TV.

Read somewhere that the writers anticipated it being 5 seasons. When they had to shorten it to 3, it really messed up the story to be condensed like that

Wasn’t the story that they were getting some major tax breaks or something that ended so Netflix pulled the plug?

MTV in general loves Bloodline S1. We’ve talked about it a lot.

LOVED that show but it did kind of fade at the end there.

It was awesome and I did not hate Season 2. I thought there was some good stuff in there.

Killing Danny at the end of season 1 sucked, but Mendelsohn was blowing up. Had to be done. Once Danny wasn't there to be the foil to the hypocrites, it was just the 3 shitty siblings making everything worse in season 2. You just check out after that.

Well it was sort of the engine for the entire season, with the whole "we're not bad people but we did a bad thing". The season wouldn't have worked without it. They should have just stopped with that though. Danny's son showing up as a tacked on cliffhanger at the very end of the season should have tipped us off that future seasons weren't going to be the same caliber.

and bloodline can blame their film tax credits expiring. They were already into season 3 and then it was basically "welp, let's pack 'er on up and get outta here folks. Wrap it up!"

I hate hate hate what happened but it's not like the writers just decided to completely suck arse out of nowhere for no reason.

I had to stop watching it because I just could not handle the anxiety. I followed the story through my wife because I was still interested, but couldn't stand to watch the spiral. I did the same thing with Your Honor, season 1.
