While details about specific stories are being kept under lock and key, Variety understands that Season 6 will have more episodes than Season 5, which comprised of just three instalments and starred Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus.

A source close to the production tells Variety that the latest season is even more cinematic in scope, with each instalment being treated as an individual film. This is, of course, in line with recent seasons of “Black Mirror,” for which episodes usually exceeded 60 minutes and had incredibly high production values.

Bring back the earlier seasons of the show that followed an episodic format.

While I'm definitely happy about this, BM has already set such a high bar that I'll lower my expectations for future episodes.

It never did that.

I just want original ideas.

S4 was excellent!

I'd have to go back and look at the s5 long thread to see my real-tmie thoughts but I recall s5 kinda sucking, or at least relative to normal exceedingly high BM standards.

1-3 (and WC) were terrific
4 was a bit of a letdown but did have some greatness in hang the DJ/uss callister
the movie was an awesome concept but after a few minutes when the novelty wore off was just meh
In s5 I think I remember smithereens being ok, but vipers and ashley o were both awful. I know I remember vipers being terrible

It's BM so I'll still be pumped and will definitely still watch, but they need to get their act together IMO

I’m the same, I don’t remember details but I recall thinking season 5 was terrible

Sort of wish Electric Dreams (Amazon Prime) would return as well - it's not BM quality but it was a nice substitute.

The sci-fi anthology show on Apple TV is a distant third

Lots of terrible things have happened in the world since the last season so there will be plenty of inspiration

Same here, except for Bandersnatch...that was terrible. As much as I appreciated the effort, it was bad bad.

Also, S5 was not very good. Striking Vipers was a cool concept with a weird execution, and likely the best one of the three episodes. Smithereens I'd need to rewatch as I don't remember much about it other than it being just okay. And the Ashley Too one with Miley Cyrus was just kinda weird. So hopefully they rebound a good bit from that.

Idk if its because I'm a huge Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails fan but I really enjoyed the Miley Cyrus episode. I feel like the pop star slave story has been told for ages and when I watched this episode back then I immediately attributed it to Britney Spears and her story.

Thinking back on that episode now in the context of the Britney drama since it's aired is pretty introspective.

Remember when that British baw had to have sex with a pig? Can’t wait for another season. I thought it was done.

HBO Max has a short film (18 mins) that reminded me of a BM episode. It’s called Please Hold.
