I actually found Black Mask to be one of the best parts about the movie. Dude was great

Woof. It may not get to $200m.

And now the "tired superhero movie" articles are going to start again.

What might help would be removing 90% of the clothes M R wore in this movie. HQ's sluttiness is one of her superpowers.

And years later, it's still a popular Halloween costume and is one of the favored costumes at any comic convention.

Being a favorite costume because you get to dress like a psychotic, slutty, violent school girl for the most part is not the same as being an engaging character that people cherish and enjoy.

This film has its share of missteps, but Harley Quinn being anything but a popular character isn't one of them.

Harley Quinn is not that popular. If she was, then this ploy of changing the title should work. But it won't.

Actor Ewan McGregor explicitly described the movie as a feminist themed attack on misogyny in an interview from October 2019.

"What interested me with Birds of Prey is that it's a feminist film. It is very finely written, there is in the script a real look on misogyny,"

"[I]n the Birds of Prey dialogues, there is always a hint of everyday misogyny, of those things you say as a man you do not even realize, mansplaining," he explained. "All it's in the script in a very subtle way. I found that brilliant."

quote:

The latest entry in the DC Universe of superhero movies bombed badly at the box office, and feminist critics are blaming the misogyny and sexism of the male audience.

"It's funny what kind of standards everyone holds women-centric films to, and everything has to be 'perfect' but dude-bro movies can lack good actors, story lines and logic and still be praised," she added.

Yeah, totally not woke. Totally not feminist.

I think you and the other shill can go, now.

Great that you're obsessed with a film you haven't seen and will never admit to seeing without some lame excuse for "having to watch it."

$2.2M MON #boxoffice for #BirdsOfPrey lifting 4-day total to $35.2M. Full opening week for #HarleyQuinn may reach about $43M while 11-day gross thru #PresidentsDay holiday could get to around $65M.

obsessed
you wish.

I came here disappointed that it was not doing well because I had planned to see it (go back and read those posts if you like) and was told that there was NO basis for people thinking it was a woke feminist movie. But obvously, it is, according to, you know, the people who made the movie.

You and doggybag seem to be the only obsessed ones, and not just with this movie, with every piece of woke crap that comes out. Just you two, every time.
