Lots of good movies in this thread that I've never heard anyone say are horrible: Point Break, Hot Rod, The Fifth Element, Mortal Kombat. All good movies imo.
I agree. I thought guilty pleasure was a movie that many people didn't like but you did. Fifth Element is a really good movie. There may be people who don't like it, but I bet you a lot more people like it than not.

I guess my guilty pleasure is the Matrix 2&3. I guess because I think I understand it. They still aren't nearly as good as the first though.
I will also throw out Jumper. I can't stand Hayden Christenson (sp.?), but maybe it is just the power to teleport that I find really cool.

I think people have different definitions of "Guilty Pleasure" movies. We need to get a definitive definition.

i'd say it's not necessarily a "bad movie" that you happen to like; more like a movie you would be hesitant to tell your group of friends that you like it. kinda like when i went to pick up a buddy of mine in college and he was sitting in a recliner watching "Steel Magnolias" with tears in his eyes because 'the scene with the baby crying always gets to him'.

yeah, I'd say the name says it all--you feel almost guilty for taking pleasure in watching it, whatever the reason may be (not that's it's necessarily a horrible movie).

Yea, that makes complete sense. Still, movies like Fifth Element, Starship Troopers, etc., should not be considered in this thread.

I will throw out the Disney movie Mulan. Pretty sure I wouldn't tell any of my friends that I like that movie.

Plus there is this:

I'm going to go ahead and say it: I like Titanic.

There, done. I feel, not better, more like a pussy. But dammit if I don't like that movie.

That movie was badass.
The treehouse?
I used to dream of having a treehouse like that.

Nice Call. Haven't seen that in ages. Wonder if it would still be entertaining?

As for my movie: any takers with "Airborne"

Kinda off subject, but Pottie Tang was directed by Louis CK. Blew me away when I first realized.

On subject, Clue is a movie I can watch over and over.

Love Actually is a good movie. But I pretend to roll my eyes and act disgruntled every time my wife wants to watch it.
