Agreed.

production keeps Frank because it's a tv show

Is the show bound by gameshow laws? I imagine if so, they would have to keep everything on the up and up. I doubt it it based off previous season shenanigans alone but have always been curious.

I googled and it seems like they are. This isn't from a reliable source but they seem to know what they're talking about:

quote:

We see a lot of comments about production manipulation (especially regarding the coup d'état, Pandora's Box, the secret power in BBCan3, etc.) I think some people misunderstand these things. Reality shows that give out a prize have to abide by game show laws, which are pretty strict and are set in place so that every person participating has a fair shot to win the prize. These laws were set in place after the quiz show scandals of the 50s (of which the film Quiz Show is based). On each one of these shows there are lawyers who review and advise the legality of every game element. Almost all of the time, the elements and timing of the game are decided before the contestants even start to play the game. Game-changing powers that are determined by public vote are written into the format of that season with a specific week before houseguests even step into the house. Even very minor things are randomized including the order in which houseguests stand during competitions to ensure fairness. Production manipulation most likely occurs in two ways (1) by getting contestants to infer things and thereby influencing their decisions, and (2) by editing houseguests to appear favorable to the public so they have a higher probably to receive a power if voted on later in the game. They also probably have the option to change or remove an element at their discretion if it's affecting the outcome of the show negatively or not working out (making America MVP in Season 15, dropping the Takeovers). These choices are checked by the lawyers for the show to make sure that they are not affecting the 'fairness' of the game. A good example of this was in Season 8 when Jen was penalized for breaking rules and was told she could not compete in the next week's competitions. This was seen as unfair to Jameka who was against her on the block and could compete in those challenges, giving houseguests a reason to keep Jen. The punishment was then reversed and changed to a penalty vote for Jen. All of this being said, lots of bullshite happens that's not fair (Hamster relationship questions) but a lot of things we complain about, like the events of BBCAN 3, are laid out before the game takes its course.

I'm pretty sure Paul lies everytime he opens his mouth. And while I usually respect lying in this game, something about the way he does it irks me.

Please tell me Frank is not this naive to think they are going to vote to keep him.

Frank's pretty much come to grips with the fact that he's going home.

From what I've seen the stuff about him campaigning against Bridgette is solely coming from Paul's mouth

He is my least favorite houseguest in years. There's no value to his lying. He just doest it constantly and about stupid shite from his personal life. Y'all have those Zack memories a page back or so. It's like he's trying to be lke Zack but lacks the charm, sense of humor, and likability.

He's a try hard who is cancer to the feeds.

I watching After Dark right now and Frank is legit talking to Paulie thinking he has Paulie, Paul, and Corey vote and is telling Paulie to talk to Z about keeping him.

Why does Paul have such a grudge against Frank and Bridgette? He's talking about making them as miserable as possible. Why? They've literally done nothing to you

Yeah I don't get that either. He keeps talking about how he HATES both of them. I mean jeez...it's just a game. You don't have to like everyone and get along...but to put that much energy into hating someone? Immature and just lame.

Just adds to why he is such an unlikeable douche.

For Frank, I really think it's because Frank told him to cut the Friendship shite out or he'd be evicted during week 2 or 3 at the veto ceremony. Obviously Frank was saying it in jest, but from that moment on Paul has been supremely anti Frank.

He's had to have heard that from other people before. He says he talks like that in his everyday life.

I guess he could be lying about that too though

Man I'll be glad when Frank is gone so I want have to watch his and Bridgette nightly moan session. After watching that every night I can't even blame Michelle for not liking Bridgette anymore.

Paul might be ready to "call out" Frank in a little bit. They were talking about going outside to work out and say whatever while Frank and Bridge were out there. They're all out there now.

Knowing Paul he won't though

His first attempt failed miserably, I guess he could try again. Too bad for him that Frank handles that type of confrontation better than most anyone in Big Brother.

James and Natalie talking about how easily the house forgets and how easily they will flip.

James cracking jokes saying if he gets put on the block he will tell everyone that he only has months to live and BB is actually his Make A Wish
