I'm on my phone but this comment deserves the Michael Bluth gif where he says "No. No. No. No-no-no."

Magnum P.I.
I worked late nights at KLFY and stayed after sign-off one night to watch the CBS pilot feeds for the '80 season. The Magnum P.I. pilot was the one "sure thing" pilot that I've ever seen. It had the feel of Rockford, the scenery from Hawaii Five-O, and featured a Vietnam Vet (which was still an untapped TV topic in '80). It was the one show that I told people was sure to be a hit.

Prisonbreak pilot was good(watching it on netflix now actually
). I watched seasons 1 and 2 of that one, it fell off pretty bad after that.

I'd forgotten about this show after the second half of the season turned into a massive stinkbomb (IMO). Started fun, though.
Best Pilot I've seen would be Breaking Bad followed by FNL.

The Shield-- still think about Terry dying every time I hear Kid Rock. Knew I was gonna watch every episode after seeing the pilot

As an avid follower of many of the shows listed in this thread, if you say you watched The Shield pilot and didn't watch at least two seasons, I call bullshite.
I didn't watch the Shield pilot.

Surprised, six pages and no votes for the Mad Men pilot?

I've always liked Dexter's pilot. It is probably my favorite.
