Not exactly sure what the prerequisite for this thread is, but I feel like The Impossible (2012) should fit it though.

Great movie.

I'm a sucker for P.O.W. movies. I even enjoyed the Christian Bale POW movie, although I've forgotten the name.

Mrs. Doubtfire really showed how far a man was willing to go in order to spend more time with his children.

Before I even clicked the topic to see your post or responses "Papillon" came to mind.... along with Lawrence of Arabia. Both are as good as cinema can offer.

No way I could not include "Room" with those two.

Sorry. The fact he actually killed his wife detracts from its impact.

The first Twilight film.

To the humans who went in there clueless about the books or storyline but heard it was popular and a hit...and then the eventual carnage that was about to happen to their spirit and faith in humankind.
