Done deal. Shudder is nice but it isn’t worth the extra money.

Couldn’t disagree more. For an avid horror fan it’s well worth the $5 a month

Wanted to bump this for the dark and the wicked recommendation, wow what a great horror. Still thinking about it two days later.

That movie has a mean streak.

I remember seeing a trailer a while back for "Dark and the Wicked" and wanting to see it. Now I'm going to have to watch it ASAP.
How bad is this movie going to mess me up? I'm kinda a puss when it comes to horror movies.

The Dark & The Wicked was my #1 of 2020
Just watched this one, really liked it. That ending was a gut punch. Any other more recent recs? I liked most of the ones on your list

Hate Ari Aster movies honestly. They’re well made but just don’t work at all for me.

Definitely not a definitive list. Some things I intentionally left out that are good. Many others I’m forgetting
Pearl - might not be horror but whatever. It’s amazing
Barbarian - very well crafted horror movie. Many layers but still works just on the surface layer too
Deadstream - stupid horror comedy but very very amusing in my opinion for how it makes fun of YouTubers
Last Night in Soho - another not really horror movie. Love the main actress though and it has an amazing soundtrack and is beautifully shot
Night House - decent little supernatural movie. Dark take.
Invisible Man - just wonderfully conceived
Underwater - silly and there’s definitely Bree movies I’ve left off but this is different so worth including. Fun ocean horror
The Platform - I don’t even know what genre this is but people list it as horror and it’s worth seeing. It’s a very high concept movie about greed in relation to starvation in prisons.
Color out of space - one of my favorite short stories. The movie isn’t what it should have been but still fun enough. Nick cage has a great first half and horrible second half performance
His House - a different sort of supernatural horror movie
Ready or Not - just the most fun horror movie. We have watched this movie more than any on this list
Scary Stories to tell in the dark - solid and very creepy for a childrens movie
The Lighthouse - probably one of if not the best movies of 2019
Doctor Sleep - really good adaption of the Stephen King book
Crawl - alligators and Florida. What more do you need
It - part one was great. Shame part 2 sucked
1922 - great dark little movie set on a farmstead in Nebraska.
Happy Death Day - fun horror comedy
The Lure - another maybe not horror. It’s like 6-7 different genres. It’s real weird and real depressing and I know people have hated it but for some reason I like it
The Void - we can always do with more cosmic horror movies
Train To Busan - classic zombie movie
Autopsy of Jane Doe - great actors and super creepy
Green Room - viscous movie with a very unique casting of Patrick Stewart
The Witch - do you like to live deliciously
Crimson Peak - a beautiful movie that happens to have ghosts
Bone Tomahawk - you don’t often see Indians like this
As Above/ So Below - I legit thought this was very scary. Others haven’t liked it as much
What we do in the shadows - classic
It Follows - STD Demon

I liked midsommar more than hereditary although I feel Toni Collette was amazing in her performance, she acted circles around everyone else. I'm a fan of Scandinavia.
I liked Florence in Midsommar, I haven't seen all her credits but I liked her in this the most when comparing her other roles.
Seems like this director can focus on his female lead and bring out their best.
