I don't normally go to see the same movie in the theaters multiple times, but I went to see this movie 5 times in the theater. IT got funnier each time.

1st time I watched this movie I thought it was the dumbest ever. Got better every time after and I loved it ever since. Laughing my arse off just reading the words in the thread with their voices.

Well I gotta disagree there. The first time I saw it I thought it was terrible. The second time I thought it was better and was enjoyable. But, I was in college at the time so that humor was up my alley.
Not everyone thinks the same kind of humor is funny. There's nothing to "get", it's a comedy. Some people will like it, some won't. I think Airplane! is one of the funniest movies ever made, but if someone doesn't like it I wouldn't say they don't "get it".
