i like Sream for nostalgia but i watched it about a year ago and while it's fun it doesn't hang with the 8 in the OP

By no means a great movie, but entertaining if to watch while you were in HS

Well, frick.

What about The Karate Kid? The one with Johnny and the rest of the Cobra Kai badasses. That's a real 80s HS movie.

I like the OP list, but Heathers is WAYYY too high. I wouldn't even have that in the Top 10. Boring as shite, and not relate able to a lot of normal people.

1. Sixteen Candles
2. Ferris Bueller
3. Fast Times
4. Dazed & Confused
5. Breakfast Club

frick Heathers. That shite was stupid as hell. Yeah, normal people. Those losers that wanted to blow up the school aren't what I would call normal people. That movie sucked arse. There. I like every other movie you listed.

Election is top 10 IMO.

Along with Grease.

Can't Buy Me Love has tremendous sentimental/nostalgia value but I don't know where to rank it.

ETA: And Lucas - that movie is quality.

I was in HS when the first couple came out and never liked them. I don't think they'll be Remembered down the road. Most All movies that make it on shock factor won't last bc they'll always come out with something more inappropriate than the last.

you don't know what makes a good movie then.

i also question your opinion because you seem to be unable to appreciate art that you can't personally relate to.

Then what's the issue with American Graffiti as a great high school movie? It's every bit as good as Fast Times or Dazed and Confused, if not better.
