Im going to say Goodwill Hunting.

The Main Actor is on probabtion for a multitude of crimes and speaks with a thearpist Robin Williams who talks him into whats best for his own life.

There is alittle crime in there. Domestic Violence, Battery, But mainly a Drama.

I dont think the other films hold a candle to it.

Sadly. That is where we are at with Boston, Crime. Films.

Are you retarded? No one with a functioning brain thinks that’s a crime drama.

Well, The whole Primse is he is on probation for committing crimes.
Why is that not considered a crime drama?

4) Mystic River
3) The Town
2) Departed
1) Gone Baby Gone

1 and 2 are close, and Departed is much more rewatchable. But Gone Baby Gone was top tier and left the viewer with a difficult and unique moral dilemma.

It’s damn good. May start a thread on it. Don’t know how I missed it all this time.

Awesome! It is fun when you discover an old series. You can watch at your own pace. No need to wait a week between episodes.

This guy knows.

The Friends of Eddie Coyle towers over all contemporary stuff itemized in OP.

Mitchum getting wasted on paper cup beers at the Bruins game, knowing he’s about to get 86’d later that night.

The Fighter is as much a crime drama as GWH.

The Verdict is about a specific type of white collar crime, and it's coverup.

City on a Hill is about more than just race. It's mostly about Kevin Bacon's character being an old school cop, and Aldis Hodge being an idealist.

The 1st two seasons from Showtime were good. Amazon picked it up and did a third season. It wasn't as good, mostly because Kevin Bacon's character has been kicked out of the FBI and is doing work as a security guy for a dirty judge. I made it thru five of the eight episodes and quit watching.

This one is brand new, so I have no idea how good or bad it might turn out to be.

56 Days on Prime - Boston police investigate a murder after a young couple have a torrid affair that ends badly for one of them.

Boston is one of those cities that I dont ever want to go to because there's no way it will measure up in real life to how cool it is in my mind. it's probably just a bunch of snow liberals.

I really enjoyed my visit there. The Patriot tour or whatever it's called is very cool, did a tour of Fenway as well. Lot's of old restaturants and good seafood.

The North End is about as genuine of an Italian neighborhood as I've seen in any big American City and I loved it. Great Italian food there.

The Duck Tours were really fun.

If you live your life worrying about bumping up against a few liberals then you are gonna miss out on a lot of good things in life, and some might even call that being a snowflake.
