Just thought I'd give a heads up to those that were interested, but didn't want to download the show. Highly recommend it, really entertaining, and the first 20 minutes or so of the show are intense AF.

quote:

The series is set around the fictional character of Police Sergeant David Budd, a heroic British Army war-veteran suffering from PTSD, who is now working as a specialist protection officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London's Metropolitan Police Service. He is assigned to protect the ambitious Home Secretary Julia Montague, whose politics stand for everything he despises.

I can no doubt say that it will be a step up in quality over Luke Cage season 2.

I was about to do a Peaky Blinders rewatch this week but this has caught my interest instead. Definitely gonna check it out.

Had no idea what it was but I fell victim to the auto start trailer yet again. Halfway into episode 2, and really enjoy it so far.

Actually, despite taking place in Britain and the main character being a British cop assigned to protect a British politician, they surprisingly went with an Upper Midwesterner accent.

Watched the 1st & 2nd episodes tonight.

I thought the bodyguard had a Scottish or maybe N Ireland accent. I didn’t notice the Home Secretary’s accent - but she is upperclass so it would be less noticeable I suppose.

We have to put CC on when we watch BBC shows, otherwise we miss parts of the conversation.

So far I like it.

Just finished it. Thought it was awesome. The last two episodes were intense, especially the defusing. Having 6 episodes helped so much to keep things from getting campy like US shows. Took a little while to get used to Robb Stark’s scot accent but the rest were fine. Oh, and the ex-wife is Ada Shelby on PB.

Yeah Sophie rundle. Do a google search on her and your mind will be blown by how large her breasts are. A proper #biggerthanyouthought for sure.

Just finished this. One of the best series I have ever watched on Netflix. Wish it was more than 6 episodes.
