I have the Regal Unlimited so I go see some movies I never would pay for.
A low budget horror movie. Azrael centers on a post apocalyptic world where no one speaks anymore and everyone has their vocal cords cut.
So no one will speak for the entire movie. Except one person in one scene and you can't understand it.
It's religious themed, the rapture has happened and there is an odd cult. There are also zombies or vampires they never really say. Could be either.
I wanted to walk out but I wanted to see where it went. Which was no where and then an odd ending. . I wouldn't watch it for free on Shudder(who was the producing studio)

Bomb 0/4.

I thought this was going to be about The Smurfs since we had a Jonny Quest topic this morning.

72% on rotten tomatoes

And they wonder why we disregard that score.

It probably had some arthouse bullshite that pandered to the "connesuers of their own farts" crowd.

Making movies/TV/games for critics and journos, and then whining that people don't watch it. . .seems to be a trend in Hollywood.

How are there enough movies to warrant an ongoing subscription, these days?

Sounds like the makings of an interesting book. A movie though? That would require the most skillful of directors to pull off

They didn't speak in Silent Night, either. Sort of work but the movie you described probably wouldn't work as well.

Thanks Hollywood, we definitely needed more of those!

At least she can't lecture us on how ashamed we should feel for not adequately supporting the LATEST THING :snoozer

It's $19 a month. If you see two movies in a month it's paid for.

There is usually at least a movie a week worth seeing.
Sometimes more than one. Then I'll go see things like this and the other day I watched Speak no Evil. I wouldn't have normality paid to see that. Beetlejuice, crow(hated it), Trapped, I see almost every big release.
I don't anyways get concessions so it isn't that bad.

A good way to kill two hours and I can leave my house at the movies start time. Get in, get a drink, and sit down in my assigned reclining seat and the trailers are still playing.

She did get her arse kicked most of the movie. She more got over on people or got a lucky hit.
I wouldn't say a Mary sue.

If anyone has seem it what the hell was that ending?

Spoiler ***

Was that supposed to be Bapholmet? Or the devil?
And she was just all smiles with that evil looking thing.

Don't get me wrong, we totally racked up when MoviePass was in its heyday. I get it. We preferred Regal Unlimited to AMC A-List, but they closed our nearest Regal, so it became a no-brainer to cancel when the pandemic nonsense hit and the theaters reopened.

There just hasnt been a sufficient volume of movies to justify the cost for 2 people, in our estimation. Hell, we still haven't seen Deadpool 3 or Beetlejuice.

6.2/10 IMDb
73% Rotten Tomatoes
68% Fandango

So, between the above and the trailer, I am actually looking forward to this one.

That's based on preference. I saw Beetlejuice twice and deadpool 3 times.

Since July I've seen
Inside Out 2
Horizon
Despicable Me 4
Long Legs
Twister
Alien Romulus 2x
The Crow
Deadpool 3x
Beetlejuice 2x
Trap
Killers Game
Speak No Evil
Azrael

I saw a lot in June. My purchase list only goes back to July. With tax three month of the pass is $60.

That's 17 movies for $60 or about 3.50 a movie. Not bad as some were 3d or GPX.
It depends on how often you can go to the movies.

Even a bad movie can be a good time at the movie theater. I use the hell out of my AMC pass.

Once you remove the obstacle of needing to pay for each movie, you become a lot more willing to give different movies or movies you normally wouldn’t watch a chance

Also theaters commonly do throw back screenings of great movies or other events like that which are included and as mentioned it’s like 20 bucks, which is around the same cost as a streaming service, and I get way more use out of that pass than I do most of the streaming services serving up mindless content for the masses to consume.
