$350 opening weekend. The average multiplier for MCU films is about 2.6. That gives it a finish around $910 mil, domestically.

Still holding out hope man. He wants to see receipts. Also, won’t show his face unless he uses some lame excuse as to why he is technically right and the reports are wrong

Rewatchability is going to be a factor moving forward to see if it has legs.

That’s a tough thing to put yourself through 2x. Like I said, I’ll probably rewatch on imax just to enjoy the experience now that the emotions are out of it. Did the same thing with Interstellar. I wanted the plot first go round and Imaxed it another time just to take in the visual and audio spectacle. Takes a lot for me to do that.

From what I understand they have made back every penny on opening weekend, which is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Man, I think many many people will watch it more than once. Heck, I know a lot of people that are waiting because the y couldn’t find seats. How many times is the question

Agreed, and there's a lot of competition coming up. Scott Mendelson, from Forbes, thinks a 2.3 multiplier is the expectation. I think it'll do a bit more.

I agree there is competition coming.. but to draw on the closest competition, there’s no Jumanji 2 or Greatest Showman running against a divisive tLJ.

Detective Picachu could be fun John Wick will do OK but that’s a month out... but Endgame is pretty universally loved as opposed to tLJ.

Not making any predictions. Endgame is a phenomenon culminating 11 years and 22 movies. I’d love to see it win out because of a lot of factors. We’ll probably have an idea next Monday.

I have not seen it yet, but some of my buddies have and they liked it a lot but will not watch it again due to the running time. One of my buds mentioned they had almost 30 mins of previews, so it felt like he spent almost 4 hours at the theater.

This movie is already in the top 20 in all time worldwide grossers.

In one weekend, it has matched Aquaman’s total and that was a massive hit. At some point Monday, it will pass The Last Jedi.

Maybe 15 mins of previews. It felt like I was only there for 2 hours. It was that good. I'll see it again.

I see Detective Pikachu hitting around 100 million opening weekend. If Endgame beats that in it's third week Avatar might be in trouble
