I assume because Oliver keeps her in the dark about personal things and they are engaged. I dont think she was trying to give permission but I could be wrong.
I personally wouldnt let the baby mama or Felicity dictate to me what I would do, just tell them how it would be.

She should've been included because some of the choices would've meant that she'd be a mom or step-mom to the kid. And the choice that he went with results in him being more of a self-loathing dick.

I say the same thing. It's also the problem they run in to now with all Marvel movies post Avengers. Iron Man 3, Dark World ending, and Winter Soldier all could have been easily solved by a simple phone call to another Avenger.

Its his son, she doesnt need to be included in the decision. And the decision he made was the best way to keep the kid safe.
Either way she be supportive and understanding that he had no choice about hiding it from her.

I agree that it is possible they are doing all of this to get Oliver back with Laurel. This way many of the viewers wouldn't care so much if Felicity is gone. Plus they have that tech genius black guy that could easily take on her role on the team.

It was also stupid because that was the cliffhanger they went with for a 1 month break. While the Flash had a much bigger cliffhanger they went with a breakup in this one. Shows you what a soap opera the Arrow has become.

I pray that is the case, but I guess there is still a chance that they would bring Felicity & Oliver back together. But I can't see anyone wanting that to happen now.
The problem is that just like how the showrunners screwed Laurel's character in season 2, they are basically doing to Felicity's character this year. It's what we were worried would happen after the crap fest they pulled last year with Felicity & Oliver's relationship. They've given themselves an out, so they better damn well take it.
