I'm rewatching and just finished S2. I forgot that Gob washed Franklin by mistake.

Michael: We’re brothers who shouldn’t be fighting. We cannot afford to lose each other, okay?

G.O.B.: I can’t. I already lost a brother today.

Michael: Franklin?

G.O.B.: Well, I didn’t lose him, but he’s all puckered and white.

Michael: On the plus side, you can take him to lunch at the club now.

G.O.B.: That’s the exact kind of joke he would have loved!

Also, Tobias as Ms. Featherbottom.

I would put S1-3 up against anything ever put on tv.

This show is so fricking funny. Brilliant. I never saw it in real time and only saw it on DVD years later but I can definitely see that it wasn't really cut out for a wide audience like the othe rgeneric canned laugh track sitcoms of the day. It's still hysterical to me and holds up incredibly well.

As you said S1-3 stand toe to toe with best comedy seasons ever filmed. While 4-6 obviously aren't in that league I rewatched them about a year or so ago and I think binging helped some, they were a bit funnier than I remembered. The entire Judge REinhold story arc (I think that may have been S6?) was hilarious to me.

Oh also, ont he topic of Gob washing frankling and him turning white. One of the subtle jokes taht this show has millions of is when GOB alters Franklin's voice after that and he sounds incredibly white lol.

Lol. Yeah, see it is stuff like this that makes this show one of the greats. I haven't rewatched it in years and hearing all the subtle jokes again is the best part of the rewatch.

Just simple jokes like Ms. Featherbottom was driving on the wrong side of the road and just the "oh, I forgot I was back in the colonies" had me rolling.

Discovering jokes you missed makes the show the most rewatchable show ever.

Hahaha. Those are great. See I never caught the monopoly one. Lol.

I'm laughing now that Oscar can't be identified because of the Cornballer.

It got bad ratings, which is a testament to the average American's taste.

I think that it would have done a lot better if it premiered on one of the streaming channels over the past 5-8 years. Fox also fricked with its schedule during sports season (same as Futurama).

But yeah, it really was too smart/clever for network TV. There are tons of legit great mainstream comedies that were successful on the networks, but none of them required the attention that AD did.

My favorite show of all time. I rewatch it every few years, and usually catch something I missed the first times.

Also the season 4 remix is not as good as the original... Imo!!

Portia is a really great comedic actress, she was funny in Better off Ted as a completely different character

The one thing that shocked me lately was when someone pointed out that Gene Parmesan only appeared in 1 episode of the show's initial run.

One of my favorite parts of season 3 was Ron Howard’s narration after they found out they were being cancelled.

some great jokes came from that. One I remember specifically was talking about something or other relating to their model home and the development. GOB says "What about hte Home Builders Organization?" and Michael goes "HBO? No they'd never take us" lol

Didn’t George follow up with “It’s Showtime”? I may be misremembering.

GOB calling the pound sign the tic tac toe might be the hardest I’ve laughed at anything ever
