Saw it years ago when it came out and really enjoyed it.
Caught it on tubi yesterday and it’s still good.

Of course Anthony Hopkins is great in it.

Glad to hear it's on Tubi, I haven't seen it on any of the streaming services. It's a really good movie.

I like it. Not great but good and I'm surprised it had basically no tail on cable since it has a good cast and did pretty good box office.

Today it would be a 10 episode series that would start great and get stale in the middle.

I forgot about that site. My go-to has been reelgood.com to find stuff.

I do miss the what the hell should I watch on Netflix site though. Got some good, unexpected results on that one.

I guess spoilers are allowed in here since it’s a 20-year-old movie?

SPOILERS incoming, just in case…

Felt like Anthony Hopkins’ character should’ve “won” at the end. The whole movie seemed like it was leading to that. Almost jarring that Gosling one-upped him after all that. My only real complaint, really enjoyed it otherwise.

Just re-watched, it really is a clever plot!. Gosling's character is a baby in this flick.

I loved it and I was convinced Gosling would only play the cocky shithead raising his eyebrows at everybody the rest of his life

I saw it a few years ago.
It was a big bore fest.
Ryan Gosling didnt pair well with Anthony Hopkins.

Hopkins was channeling his Dr. Lector character out smarting the police.

Really?

You weren’t at all invested in how they were going to nail this guy that set up the perfect murder?

I guess I’m easily entertained. I thought it was great.

Just watched it. Loved it. Don’t understand how I never heard about this movie.

These are the surprises I like.

Loved this movie. Usually the standard I use when looking for or comparing movies with a great twist/ mystery
