It's been a while since something had me thinking, "Man, I WANT to go see that." If not for Deadpool & Wolverine, then the last time I had been invested enough to go to a theater was Spider-Man: No Way Home for the nostalgia kick.

So can't say that I am. My wife, who loved the novel, even said she doesn't really care about seeing the movie (and she had no idea about the social media crap, she just doesn't think the trailers were impressive enough to want to buy tickets to see it).

We might see it once it streams though.

I feel like this is the same thing that people said on here with Barbie and then it went and made almost $1.5 million.

It’s also funny how there’s such stubbornness to even give Grande and Erivo a chance compared to Menzel and Chenoweth when both have been nothing but complimentary of the movie.

I understand people saying it’s not their thing, but I don’t understand why people seem to loathe the thought of it so much.

Zero interest...but it seems like a chick movie so just not my thing

After looking this up, I just realized its a spin off of Wizard of Oz. Isnt Oz just a dream Dorothy had that just mirrored the real life problems her family was having? A spin off treating Oz as a real place seems very stupid

I think it had something to do with Ryan Gosling.

In the movie it is a dream but in the Frank Baum series of books it is a real place. Wicked began as a terrible and unnecessary book that was made into a very successful musical that a lot of people like.

I enjoyed the play. I thought the trailers have looked from bland to good.

I’m ignoring the stupidity of the vapid actors’ comments leading up to it.

I swear if I enjoy wicked more than gladiator 2 this world doesn't make sense.

I hate musicals for the most part.

Definitely not a movie that I ever thought would interest me, but I'm intrigued. Currently 90/98 on RT.

Coming from someone who isn’t a big fan of the 2 leads, it was great and I would like to see it again.

Did anyone know that this is just Part 1? Don’t think I ever heard this was just part 1. Not in the trailers if I remember correctly.
