One of my faves no one seems to remember from the 90's.

Soundtrack was incredible as well.

Not sure I've ever heard of it. Streaming anywhere?

I'm sure it's on Netflix.

Worth checking out.

Guy Pearce (as usual) is great as well as Robert Carlyle.

You can rent it, but not streaming as part of any service: Just Watch

Great movie; a lot of fun. The blu-ray is only $12.99 on Amazon, but not a great transfer.

I really enjoyed it at the time. Like you say, it never gets talked about and I never see it on TV. I haven't seen it since it came out.

I bring it up in any "under the radar" movie type thread.

Great movie. Has some interesting themes as well.

Haven’t watched it in years, unfortunately, but I thought it was fun.

Big problem has been the rights on it IIRC. It was a tiny production circa 1999 with a mix of mainly foreign actors and a child molester (Jeffery Jones) and it doesn’t tend to pop up on streaming often.

It was a critical and commercial disappointment. I’m not sure why because I remember it being a solid, underrated movie.

Loved it back in the day. I used to have the soundtrack on CD.

Classic! I screened this for my wife and son a few months back, and they both loved it. One of the best of a great late 90s run on horror movies (highly underrated era of horror)

Damon Albarn of Blur did the soundtrack for this, and yeah it's killer. I used to listen to it a lot back in the day.

To the shock of absolutely no one, Fox had no idea of how to market what they had, so they tried to sell it as being a slasher on the heels of the Scream movies.

Probably didn’t help that this is one of those movies with a big reveal about halfway through that makes it hard to say much about it without giving massive spoilers.

At least this one didn’t get as fricked by the people cutting the trailers as Arlington Road did around that same timeframe.

First thing I thought of when I saw this thread topic was what a great soundtrack. Bought the DVD a while back so I would be able to watch it anytime.

Curious what you mean here. I’ve seen Arlington Road but don’t remember the trailers.

I thought it was an interesting take on the legend of the Wendigo and cannibalism. They presented it similarly to vampirism, in that once someone consumed human flesh, they became addicted to it.

Arlington Road’s trailers pretty much gave up the entire plot minus the last three minutes where the final twist takes place.

For a suspense movie, that’s not how you cut a trailer.

The main song will drill into your head and drive you crazy, almost to the point of consuming human flesh to make it get out.
