I am just watching this for the first time. OMG! Why in the hell did I not watch this before.
When he goes to dinner with his black girlfriend to meet her family....

The first 2/3rds of Anchorman 2 are good and the sequel has a good concept: how Ron Burgundy permanently ruined the news. But the last third is just a disaster.

Yes and it isn't even close. The dinner scene in the sequel is great. The rest is pretty much a letdown in comparison to the original.

Sequel was on regular tv and there was nothing else to watch so I said what the hell, watch it. Beginning the first one now.

I was an extra in Anchorman 2 and thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days of watching the guys improv scenes. Will Ferrell even spoke to me as Ron Burgundy which was awesome.

Yeah that never worked for me and it’s like 20 minutes of screen time including a musical number. And doesn’t really effect the plot really. Cut that out and it would’ve done a lot better

I’ve never understood the people that think Anchorman 2 suck. It’s a great movie.
Is it as good as Anchorman 1? No.
Is it fricking hilarious? Yes.
Is it as good as Anchorman 1? No.

Watching the news team fight scene in the sequel would be weird if you didn’t know the running joke from the first one.
