I was a little surprised with no Roland. They aren't even at the halfway point and they are down to 4.

Amos is getting homesick. At least that's the way it's being portrayed.

I also think Kielyn's time is limited. She's already had at least one emotional melt and with nearly two months left I don't see her going the distance.

Callie's great attitude is impressive. She appear's to be getting stronger. I wasn't sure about her initially but since the snow is on the ground her tracking skills are really serving her well.

Roland's just kicking back enjoying life.

Yep, that cost him big time in the end. Dicked around doing other less meaningful things with Arctic winter approaching and living in what was pretty much an open shed.

I was pissed at sir recon until I heard of his condition.

Looks like amos might get an ox next week.

Joe has been a schmuck since he got dropped off.

Hopefully roland doesn't get an injury.

I think Roland, Callie and Amos can make it the 100 days.
Roland simply needs to not get hurt or anything extremely unlucky happen.
Callie needs that porcupine. She needs some fat.
Amos has plenty of fish I believe, but he needs some fat too, but he has been talking about getting homesick.

Still, what Roland and Callie have going for them is they are used to this life, and they really don’t have anything to get homesick from.

Man, that wolf pack would've 100% made me soil my drawers.

Wild that we're half way to 100 & only the 4 are left.
Is this thing going to 100....? With them each having already lost 30-40+ lbs in just 50 days, they're going to need some big food to sustain them.

Episode 9 just ran and there are only 2 episodes left. With still over 50 days and only 2 more episodes remaining I'm starting to feel no one will make 100 days.

Roland has lost 38 pounds which is 20% of his body weight and still had 53 days to go. Others are losing big weight as well. At this rate they will get medically tapped. When Roland said his ox didn't have a lot of fat and he's out trying to fish with all of that ox meat tells me he's in trouble.

If I was Amos, I would call and the the home base to get me the hell out of there. He can't fight off a pack of wolves.

I looked it up and wolves aren't very good to eat. Lots of parasites and kind of rank (people use a special rub). But I think he could have put an arrow in 1-2 of them before they knew what was going on. They seemed a bit skittish and were sizing him up. I would think they are coming back unless he does something.

My whole thing was is it legal to kill them? Like could he make dead falls and bigger traps? If not, he probably should leave and its not fair that he would have to give up.

I don't think anybody makes it to 100. They are all losing an insane amount of weight. Its not even halfway..

Download torrents. Use plex.

I know they are losing weight, but most of them do their best to fatten themselves up before going, so that first 20 or so pounds is really nothing. It’s why Joe and Mark and skinny in shape like that have no chance unless they are eating their normal portions of food daily, which is almost impossible.

Seeing that there are only 2 episodes left, seems unlikely someone makes it to 100, but Roland just seems like he can make it unless something unfortunate happens. watching the preview, looks like Amos is going to tap out after his shelter burns, and one of the girls had frostbite.

Roland was probably around 230 coming in. So he could be alright if he's at around 190 now. He could probably drop to around 160 and still be ok. Its just amazing how fast they lose the weight. He has all that meat and is still struggling. Why did he wait so long to fish? His box (genius btw) coukd be full of fish right now..

Danger Rock.

I don't think the camera really shows how steep his shoreline is.

Well that is disappointing. Unless there's a big blizzard and they just stay in their shelters for a month so there's not much to film. I really thought Roland could make it.

You gotta realize that they all go on a true low/no carb diet, so they are going to lose some serious poundage.

I don't recall Roland ever mentioning being tired or anything. I think he's perfectly fine right now, he just knows he can't sustain it for 50 more days, or at least it won't be fun if he can sustain it.
He's had some fish, but yeah i don't understand why it took him so long to get the gill net in the water, same with Callie.

Don’t under estimate the editing process. I heard an interview with Jordan Jonas. He said even before the moose he never went a day without eating. He said he caught something like 30 rabbits and 22 fish. One fish was 25 lbs and he never even ate it. He said he could have gone 140+ days.

I guarantee Roland fattened up before the show and most of the weight that he lost is just the extra.

Yeah they don't show everything they catch. Jordan had plenty of food that he ate that we didn't see.
I would imagine of the 4 remaining, they've eaten a lot more than you think they have.

I wish the show would do a tally of all the food they have collected up to this point, and how much has been eaten and how much is saved. But i guess if they did that you would know the winner more than likely, like with Jordan, not that anyone thought he woudn't win with a frickin moose stored up. They could at least give us all the stats at the end of the show.

Amos said he caught like 25-30 fish i believe. those fish aren't small at all, and can easily sustain you for a couple days. Think about it though, even if you ate a pound or two of fish everyday, and that's pretty much all you eat outside of a few berries or mushrooms, you're going to lose some significant weight, even though you're eating a good bit.

I want to see all the food they collected that isn't meat. the berries, mushrooms and everything else, and how much that goes towards helping them.

Yeah, they don't show any foraging. I know they had tons of berries early. There has to be some edible plants too. I just can't imagine losing a pound a day and I'm fat. Hopefully next year they go somewhere warmer with more resources. Its too food focused right now..
