I mean the episode was entertaining but Wendy is way too powerful and feels almost like a spoof of Alien at times
and I find myself forgetting I’m watching a show called Alien. The synth avengers with their pet alien.

Modern writers just can’t kill people off.
I do have to give credit for them snuffing redhaired dreadlock girl. Stupidest way to go out, like some cartoon character, just standing there. Only thing missing from her last scene was *gulp!*.

The redhead survived getting scrambled by a lightning bolt of electricity?
Super easy. Barley an inconvenience.
Seriously, that completely takes away from Wendy screaming "WHAT DID YOU DO?" at her brother. Because what he DID was keep her from killing anyone else and possibly the Security team from using *plasma rifles on the bunch of them, killing everyone instead of just stunning Nips. (Sorry, Nibs)
*And I'm sorry, but are we now going to get a retcon (again) for how THESE plasma guns didn't do a thing to these Xenos, but by the time the US Space Marines showed up at the coloney in Aliens, those were much more effective? Because we saw dozens of Xenos get cut in half by their fire, when there was time to aim and shoot. Yet scores of security team can't bring down a single sub adult Xeno? In board daylight?

Wendy Sue, empress of the universe

Wendy in this show is the worst example of a Mary Sue in recent memory. Surprised Hawley has written something this bad.

I haven’t seen the finale but it’s like she is the only one that remembers she’s in a cybernetic super human body and the rest of them (outside of the skull splitting scene) forget that they are physically superior tho everything around them

The series had its ups and downs, but the ups were way higher than anything that I've enjoyed in the franchise since Aliens. My biggest letdown was the realization that it was an ongoing series and the "wrap-up" episode was nothing of the kind.
An enjoyable run. Looking forward to Season 2.

Wait that was the season finale? Lame. I’ll be back for season 2 though, solid enough show. Worth it alone for episode 6. Wonder what is going to be the major antagonist for season 2? There has to be something that can potential kill Wendy and it better not be human.

How long has Arthur been dead? A full day? Maybe 2? He's lookin' pretty ripe, but no problem with Eyeball to reanimate, huh?
Really curious for all the dead bodies between the facility to the beach, Eyeball made its way all the way down and just happened to stumble on a not so fresh body wide out on the open, barely touched by any of the local wildlife.
And WTF happened to the steam cleaner? Not 1 damn thing.
I would have rather, seen. The Eye infest A live human.
Hear me out. The eye stays in the Sheep. The sheep, Attacking Hermit, Hermit hides in the Cage. The Sheep Props its own body against the door of the cage. Then the eye, leaves the sheeps body and goes into the Cage to infect hermit, the same path the eye, took to get into the cage. Then you seen another part of the intelligence of the Eye. It didnt have to be hermit either. But some human the eye outsmarts.
Also, though:
No Steam Cleaner Resolution.
We are left with the "Plant Alien, and "marines" in a cliff hanger after it swoops down and eats one of their own.
The set design, we could have seen so much more. The sets looked really cool. Especially in Esposide 6. I thought that was mis directed. Such a cool set for such a belly up esposide.
Idk.

I didn't even realize that was the finale
I liked the monster action the last two episodes but overall not sure to feel about the whole thing. What an abrupt ending.

This series was a waste of time. Talk about botching the landing.
1) We have to sympathize with at least one character, and for the first half of the series the only sympathetic character was Wendy... and then she developed god like ability to control computer systems and xenomorphs, lost all emotion and child-like wonder, and became a stone cold killer via the xenomorph. Is she supposed to be the real villain?
2) The xenomorph is reduced to a pet dog.
3) By the final episode, the eyeball creature was the only interesting part of the show and they did NOTHING with it. They should have had it get into a human (of it's own accord) and either be the true final boss of the series, or be an unexpected ally. And don't get me started on the stupidity of "resurrecting" a dead body that has its chest burst open and no blood. For any body to move it needs all bodily systems somewhat functional. No lungs=no movement. No blood=no movement. It's the main problem with zombie movies that try and make zombification the result of a disease rather than some evil force.
4) The other potentially sympathetic character who was truly vulnerable was the black girl, and they just threw her away for a cheap horror moment. Now the show has ZERO likable characters. The synth is the only one left who I can remotely root for. I want everyone else to die gruesomely at the hands of eyeball creature.
5) There is no arc for this season. No tensions are resolved. It's like they just picked a random episode to stop the season on. Who wrote this?

Yep eyeball creature is the true protagonist of Alien: Earth. It also needs a movie
there is so much cool shite they could do with that premise and its ability to jump from host to host.

The story of this show was just all over the place. I get trying to set up a story for another season, there still needs to be a self contained and complete story arc to follow. No true vision for what they wanted

ive been avoiding this thread and spoilers.
was kinda waiting for all to be out to start watching.
im a huge alien super fan.....is the general consensus of the show....worth watching or no?

It LOOKS a lot like Alien. Great sets , lots of call backs (sometimes which makes zero sense) but a questionable story.

Really good Ep. 8 if there were 2 more in the season.
As a finale'?
Not so good.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t this show, after multiple seasons, eventually lead up to the events of the original alien movie? Like basically show us how the 5 companies that ruled earth turned out.

You, they make normal decisions with the writing.
A monster running around outside.
The lead Phycocologist, decides
"its a good time to plant some flowers on the childrens grave"
I spent so much time. On this series, thinking, writing on this message board, and waiting for the esposide drops.
Ughh

I didn't say they made "normal decisions" with the writing. I said Wendy's control of digital stuff was present in the first episodes, making it not something developed in the second half of the season.
