Only 3 ?
More than enough to see where this is going.
Enough really stupid actions & plot choices to send this on a not good trajectory.

Slow start but enjoyable. I did get towards boredom as I thought that almost the entire series would take place onboard that ship/apartment complex. Ep 3 kickstarted it back in and now I'm hooked again.
Kirsh figuring out the xenomorph life cycle so quickly: WIN
Closeup of Morrow in the elevator as we hear the screams and gunfire as the alien takes out a squad off camera: WIN WIN
Alien VS Foppish Versailles Apartment Party: WIN WIN WIN
(by the way, the flashbacks of the kids with their dad: the dad is played by Noah Hawley)

As much as I enjoy Xenomorphs I'm hoping for more of the other aliens this episode.

and the decisions by the characters don’t make much sense.

This black cyborg dude. Why is he eating? Do cyborgs need food?
He is biologically part human. Thats why the eggs reacted to him. As opposed to the hybrid synths have no human biology but a human consciousness.

As a fan of both the Alien series and Hawley's other work something just feels off with the series so far. There are some cool ideas and world building and some good scenes but I just dont feel much of a connection with the characters. Perhaps its the acting or direction but with the exception of Morrow, who is by far my favorite character , the others performances and characters just feel flat. Like bad SYFY channel flat. I am glad its not just a rehash of Alien(s) greatest hits. Thus far it does have enough interesting plot elements and is entertaining enough to keep me watching.

immediately putting their faces right up to them is astonishing.

For an animal that kills so easily and so quickly, it seems odd that Wendy’s brother keeps getting spared and sort of just toyed with by the xeno
Hermits character just seems like the limp fish handshake of a man. Like an emsculated man. The millennial man. Without him, or his presence, why would Wendy, the Super Hybrid with the "larger Storage/Brain", do what she does? If he wasnt there, Her role would have nothing humanizing about it, come off as awkward and the story would be even more flat.

The trillionaire kid genius dude is a really, really bad actor. And he sort of looks like a human version of Sid from Ice Age.
Everyone is looking forward to his death, There is nothing like able about his character, but his acting comes off as entitled spoiled Nepo Baby Culteure of LA. His success represents the class war fare of the US in a nutshell.
Having going to the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, which has been ranked third in the world for Music in the QS World University Rankings 2025, rising from fourth place in 2024. The School has also risen from fifth to fourth in the world for Performing Arts.Mar 12, 2025
A place where tution is 12,000-16,000 annually, where us mortals cannot afford it. Who can afford that, and get juiced in with the networks created there. So its easy, to see why the directors made him this character, he is easily unlikeable. I do think he is acting is rough. But he naills the part as a very un-humanizing arrogant individual whose death people will root for.

The Boy Genius
quote:
I’m not sure why they’d be concerned that Wendy “died.” She’s basically a person’s memories uploaded into a synthetic body. Seems like they could very easily just upload her into a new one in a matter of minutes, no?
Strong point here. The White blood dramatically heightened the scene and her "teacher" sleeping over her healing body was very novelesk of book writtin in middle school without much forethought. Then when shes healed there is a sound like your Rumba finished sweeping, or your egg tymer went off, that scene was on the Milk Schedule
quote:
They’re keeping the creatures in containers but leaving the eggs out in the open? Even when they know (per Olyphant) that they are harmful to people? And that’s a hell of a lot to deduce from him simply seeing a body with its chest burst open.
I mean, its a Show/Series dont come here looking for logic. Or that type of logic. Thats like looking for common sense today. It doesnt exist anymore.

I’ve said that in my previous post.

Slow episode but a lot going on too..
Very interesting about Wendy being able to communicate with the xeno.
Also, I have feeling they might actually kill off the brother with a chest buster.
Got a feeling the eye ball alien will be the death of boy genius..

Sydney chandler is completely carrying this show at this point, also didn’t realize olyphant was almost 60

Doesn’t look like he’s 60 but definitely walks like it.

Really enjoying the show. The brother and boy genius are my only gripes.

Arush is definitely going to take him to the lab for Morrow.

She’s going to be “Mother”. And I love it. I do like her character. Didn’t realize the actress is Kyle Chandler’s kid.

My SO thinks the same. I think it ends up being Kirsh doing it.
Also, got a little Unhinged Ginger. Curious about her imagining being pregnant. That seems so specific and interesting given the circumstance.

They spend a lot of the episode on the communication being hearing. But the final scene tells me she has some connection to the alien.

Ep. 4 isn’t winning with style points. We’re fully into the ‘kids in adult bodies’ topic & it’s feeling like not so subtle grooming messaging. Crazy redhead is flipping out and the therapist lady keeps pressing her to talk about a ptsd event. Even if red was human i feel like therapist lady should have known enough to have eased up.
Jeeez this show is trash.

I agree. Curly should have been able to hear it too if it was just based on sound.
As much as I want to see the eyeball alien pop out one of Boy Kavalier’s bug eyes, I’m going with the underdog: the alien plant that hangs from the ceiling. We haven’t seen what it can do so they have to be saving it for something good. If it’s not Kavalier, it will be the old man Eins.
The David vibes from Kirsh are even stronger. I’m glad that he knows about Morrow so we should get him on the island soon.

So I wonder if the brother will get infected with a xeno and Wendy will see the Xeno as her brother? I hope not.
I'm hoping a Yajuta shows up, nukes everything and leads into Predator Badlands. I'm still bummed they ruined the AVP stories.

He almost acts like David Hutuger from the OG Blade Runner.

They both are going to die at some point.

You should check her out in the Film Pistol.

This is my favorite theory. Wayland shows up steals Olyphant and Makes David off of it
