Sultan...wish they would have kept his persona like an old stubby man who gets overly excited like the original.

What is he now?

I watched the first 30 minutes all the way up to when Aladdin gets out of the cave. This really feels like a cheap TV movie or something. Can’t quite put my finger on it, just felt cheap. The acting is pretty bland, other than Jasmine. Jafar is absolutely terrible.

I will say that the Never Had a Friend Like Me number was better than the other song I saw a clip of last week. Will Smith is not the worst thing about the movie. I actually enjoyed the dancing in that number. Not bad.

That’s what I got out of the first 30-40 minutes anyway

Because Robin William’s family said that he didn’t want his likeness used in any future movies...

I just listened to Will Smith’s shitty Prince Ali.

“Heard your Princess was hot... Where is she?”

Great change

Wow 90% audience score with 250 reviews in. I put more stock in that than critics. It’ll drop some more, but looks like it might actually be pretty solid

Williams will forbids his likeness from being used for the next 25 years.

It’s solid. It’s highs weren’t as high as BatB’s highs, but it’s lows weren’t as low either.

Saw it last night with the ole lady, thought it was pretty good. Exceeded my (low) expectations. Will Smith was surprisingly good as the genie. Jafar was about as menacing as a golden retriever puppy.

The real story is all these people spending good money to go see a movie with LOW expectations before reviews are out.

If your expectations are low, why go?

It’s like “yo I thought this movie would be the worst of the year so I spent 50 dollars to go see it and it’s only the 5th worst movie of the year, I’m satisfied.”

Expectation levels are all relative. I didn’t expect it to be the best movie of the year. I wanted a solid movie experience and I got it.

Not every movie has to be the Best Evah!!

More like, "yo I'm on AMC A List and it didn't cost me an extra penny to see this movie."

Or, "yo I like to go to movies and if I only saw guaranteed great films I'd only see two or three a year."

The best way I can put it is that he doesn't carry the dimwitted cartoon persona from the original. He's more serious. Of course the movie adds in political views of women only being good for eye candy and being Speechless and even he, the Sultan, agrees with that.

Btw...I don't say that in a SJW kind of way. That part of the movie did not make me hate it. It's just easily noticeable since it differs from the original. At least to my memory.

It just looks so awesomely bad, there will be some great memes to come out of it. It might be enjoyable for just how bad it looks.

This movie is not going to be good.

I mean at least the first reactors have actually seen the film. You?

Guess you missed the part where I said I went with my SO. If it were my choice, I would have gone to see Brightburn or John Wick 3.

RT just mad that Aladdin name is not pronounced correctly.

It's suppose to be "Allah-Ha-Djinn" like Saladin "Sala-ha-djin"
