A question about season 3 of Bloodline (definite spoilers in the OP)

My question is, WTF was that?

The last two episodes were a serious let down for me. A dream sequence? Coma-induced hallucinations? WTF?

And where the heck was Meg in season 3? Was the actress working on another show (Dead to Me maybe), because writing her off the show made no sense at all.

And the whole Roy Gilbert storyline. Was he Kevin's real father? Did he give Robert and Sally the money to build their inn because they kept quiet about a murder? If so, what murder? Who got killed?

I loved the show, but after finishing season 3 last night I wish they had ended the show after season 2. There were some strong episodes in season 3 (episodes 2-8 were all strong), but the last two episodes ruined it for me.

I think the rumor was when the writers found out the show was canceled, they just mailed it in with zero f's given.

One of the worst endings to a series that started off great.

Season 1 was awesome. Gave up two episodes in to the 2nd season. Glad I did.

They were told they would no longer receive their tax credits while filming in the keys. I think they were already into filming season 3 when they found out and basically had to wrap it up on the fly. It's unfortunate because bloodline was a fricking ELITE show before getting the rug pulled out from under it. If it feels like the show is awesome for like 90% of it then the last 10% sucks out of nowhere..well there's a reason for that. I would absolutely love to have seen the show run it's natural course.

The John legiuizamo character was ultimately pointless for the shortened payoff.

Whatever

Season 1 was great

It pissed me off at the time so I did some digging (we watched at time of release) and found what many have said but also that, if I remember correctly, 3-4 additional seasons focusing on a different sibling in each had already been planned when they got the ax. I think they had to re-write the end not just mailed it in live.

Again as other have said, extremely disappointing as it was a really great show. One of Netflix’s best sans the ending.

No, season two was great. Seriously. The first two seasons were great television. The last season was a fricking nightmare. Someone said above they should have stopped the series at season two. I agree.

This. I dont think they had a choice. It all happened at once. I read where it was going to be a 5 season show. Man it was awesome for 90% of it and I still say it is worth the watch.

Loved it

This is correct. Netflix pulled the plug on the show when Florida pulled the tax credits...writers were forced to just finish it (and clearly pissed about it). You can find articles I believe it was originally planned out for 5 seasons.

This! season One was fantastic and Show fell off a cliff at the start of season 2. I quit after episode 2 of season 2 as well.
