Yall need to just accept that 10 years ago a project like this would’ve released as a movie instead of a TV show. They’re basically taking a 2hr movie and stretching it into a 6 episode season, so we actually are getting more than we should if you think of it like that.

We’ve already seen a Tyrell. Lord Leo Tyrell was the seated knight that Dunk talked to at the camp.

Ohhhh. Ok.
So, would he be Lady Olenna's father-in-law, maybe?

Possibly. We don’t get a real comprehensive family tree of the Tyrell’s pre-GOT.

I found this recap pod that’s really helped. He goes scene by scene and breaks it down and shows the family trees and if the were mentioned in HOTD or GoT. Lots of callbacks I never would have thought of. Only 20 minutes long

Duncan’s solution to his own place in the world is to go win a tournament, but has he even ever competed in tournament?

He's Dunc the Lunk, Thick as a castle wall.

Yes his plan is the equivalent of me or you deciding we are gonna win a UFC tournament because we watched soemone else fight in the UFC for a while.

My only caveat is if you’re watching HotD and you don’t know how it ends, getting too far into some family trees will spoil that show for you. That’s why I tried to provide some info without getting too deep into that.

They were an interesting family in the books. I can't wait to see what happens to them in the final 2 books.
The show left out 2 Tyrell brothers.

I just think that unless they filmed each season back to back, Egg is going to be 20 years old by the time they finish the third novella.

Stumbled on this video that explains the entire timeline from the beginning up to the death of the Knight King.

This helped me understand a lot of stuff since i've never read any of the books.

Definitely contains some spoilers for A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms.

****Do NOT watch if you want to avoid knowing the fate of characters in the current show.****

Has Duncan ever done this before?
Ser Arlan did teach him how to hold and ride with a lance, and he has 'tilted at rings' meaning little targets hung from a wire.

He has never faced another knight but his head is filled with Ser Arlan's advice on when to lunge, what to aim for, etc. He has zero experience but he at least has some idea of what to do.

There’s been plenty of titties and more in Westeros shows on HBO. I think y’all might survive if you don’t see them for a couple episodes.

ETA: Also not sure how the lack of titties is emasculating. Not like they didn’t show Manfred bedding two whores at once or anything along those lines. You’re being silly at this point.

I agree with this mostly. But I will say Dunk was at least somewhat trained in arms and knighthood. Not nearly on the level of high borns. I would use the analogy of someone that like took karate as a kid, wrestled in high school, or boxed/spars as a hobby. It’s not like hes completely unfamiliar with combat, but yes would get absolutely wrecked against a real UFC fighter.

I don’t know. It’s been a while.

The early seasons of GoT, sure - plenty of boobs.
The later seasons of GoT - almost nothing.
House of Dragon has been nothing but painful birth scenes.
And this series has been all dongs and man arse

Are we really looking to fulfill our nudity quota with TV shows? Porn is free.

Also, the whore who was playing dead on the table was topless. Rewatch and get your fill.
