No. But it's probably too stupid to compare these two movies.

Silver Linings Playbook blows 500 Days of Summer out of the water.

Aside from it being about romance and some guy trying to get back the girl he lost, I don't see what they really have in common.

I think most people really really liked 500 Days of Summer, but its not on Silver Linings' level, even though Silver Linings had some plot wholes that I didn't like.

500 Days should be compared to something like Garden State, imo.

500 Days isn't even in the ballpark. JGL wasn't shite compared to Cooper in SLP.

They're very different movies except for the fact that they're dramadies about love. But that's like a million movies

Agreed. Very different types of movies. I know I'll be in the minority but I preferred 500. VERY re-watchable movie. Cooper's character in SLP was too annoying (by design, I know) for it to ever be in that watch it any time it's on TV level.

Silver Linings is better imo, but I really like 500 days also. I understand what the OP sees when he's trying to compare them. They both are perceived as Romantic Comedies, but they're not. SLP does have romantic ending, but 500 Days depresses the shite out of me. The dialogue between the two main characters in both movies is phenomenal.

Silver Linings has Jennifer Lawrence, so it makes up for it on this board's standards.

I can understand someone not liking SLP, but I don't see how anyone can dislike 500 DoS. I think just about everyone has been in one of those characters situations.

I'm not a big fan of 500 DoS either. Nor a fan of Garden State, for that matter. Also, I'm sure I will despise The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
