21 Jump Street, best movie I've seen so far this year. Only movie I've seen so far this year.

I expect American Reunion to be a cross between American Wedding and Three Stooges (new one), in terms of quality.

Like Stooges, there is absolutely no reason for the new American movie. The last one was total shite, and did poorly in theaters.

I think this was done because they can't find anything else for Chris Klein to do. They are tired of him sitting outside the studio holding that boombox over his head, and demanding his family and friends call him All Striker.

Both are pretty solid. If you have seen the other 3 American Pie movies Reunion was a lot of fun.

I thought AP 3 was pretty solid actually. Much better than part 2

Sean William Scott's exaggerated Stifler impersonation is getting worse & worse. dont know if i can stomach it again.

I have no intention of seeing either, but I'm old enough to remember watching 21 Jump Street back in the day, which also makes me old enough to be part of that generation that didn't give a shite about the American Pie movies.

Jonah Hill is in where he acts like Jonah Hill
you mean he's just like 80% of hollywood actors?

same for Channing Tatum
he's actually pretty solid in comedic roles

Jump Street was OK but nothing like the series
nooooo wayyy. Really?? that's weird because the trailer made it seem so much like the series

I was bored yesterday and went by the theater. The timing was right to see 21 Jump Street, even though I had no desire to see it. As I've said before on here, I love the theater experience and will see a movie even if I'm not that interested.

I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Movie was hilarious. I loved how it made fun of itself without being too corny. One of the best comedies I've seen in a while.

This.

And American Reunion was good, IF you like the rest of the movies. Time well spent.

I haven't seen AR yet, but I imagine it will be better than 21JS. Saw that one a couple weeks ago, and it was decent. I really liked the first half, but the second half just got kinda over the top and stupid...which is fine, it just turned me off a bit. Plus, I don't really like Channing Tatum too much, so that didn't help.

Overall, I liked it but I expect that I will enjoy Reunion better. I've enjoyed all three main AP movies, and thought American Wedding was a very solid installment, especially for a third go at it.

I agree. The AP movies so closely mirrored some of the experiences I went through and I'm only 2 years behind, grade wise.

I love watching the first one, it's basically nostalgia city for me.
