It's one of the few '80s movies I missed when I was a kid. Something just seemed lame about it to me. I should probably get around to watching it since it's frequently referenced.

Great flick. I stumbled on another gem this weekend, Toy Soldiers. Wow what a great movie.

I loved that movie as a kid. I can remember watching this a lot but never realized it was set in LA.

Just re-watched the other day. It's on Hulu.

Love it.

Toy Soldiers is a good one, but it's 90s all the way.

Legit great movie. Almost as good as Goonies. Seen it many many times.

It's on wiki

The Monster Squad is a club of pre-teenagers who idolize classic monster-movies and their non-human stars. They hold meetings at a tree-clubhouse in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Makes sense it was in Louisiana, didn’t Dracula and Frankenstein land in a swamp when they jumped out of that plane ?
