I guess you could argue it served the purpose of showing why Banner would turn but even after that it was shoe horned into multiple scenes/episodes long past the point necessary to make it clear he was a sadist.

We never started season 2. Just drawn out stories and killing main characters to be edgy. I get it, life was a struggle. TS is the millionaire and I’m just one viewer but I’m done with it all.

Probably my biggest issue. They tried to make it seem like it was her being noble but really it was just her being selfish. Feed the baby then get the surgery. But nope, couldn't live without feet for her newborn or husband.
Agreed. Very selfish. I'm sure they could have got her some decent prosthetic legs or something like that. Hell she can ride horses all day long

To be fair, Jacob wasn't helping. He did everything he could to appease Alex's wants rather than listening to the doctor and caring for her immediate needs.
TS really screwed that whole story up

Yes, good point that was even more ridiculous. I'd love to know Spencer's thoughts if he found out Jacob was an a-hole to the doctor that was trying to save her life and refused to allow him to do so. Would have been him instead of Whitfield getting the bullet to the brain.

Season 2 could have been called Trains, Ships and Automobiles

Season 1 was great and they totally botched season 2 even though it was still entertaining.
We spend a whole season of Spencer and Alex traveling and get 5 minutes of them back together?
Spencer and Alex’s chemistry were the main part that made S1 so great.
And yes Cara and Alex would’ve been great together. I feel so robbed.
This last episode still felt rushed even though it was 2 hours.
I’ll concur that TS really stinks at wrapping up shows.

Alex actress did a damn good job with her Queen’s English

I’ll give TS a little credit for doing the ending right with both Tulsa Kings and the last episode of Lioness Season 2 was pretty good but he shite the bed here.
The reason it felt rushed is because we had to spend almost a third of it wrapping up Rainwater’s situation which only distracted from the main plots concerning everything going on in Montana. I will say there was a glimmer of hope when Spencer finally hooked up with Alex but TS killed that feel good ending when he did the same with her character and just walking into Whifield’s house and putting 3 rounds in him after 6 episodes of a 1923 version of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was about as anti climactic as it gets.

So what did Alex die of? Why would she want to die? I dont get it.
Rainwater was a waste and I bet shes in 1944. I wanted more with Banner and Jacob. Also, the ending of Whitfield was rushed. He just opens the door and shoots him? We've been waiting for this confrontation all season.

She was willing to get sexually assaulted, robbed, watch her two friends turn to ice cubes, and almost freeze to death just to get to Montana a few weeks earlier as opposed to just waiting for better conditions
However, she isn’t willing to give up a foot to spend a full life with Spencer

When the local gas station lady says "don't go, there aren't any gas stations" then the couple says something like "it's an adventure". then the gas station lady gives you that "don't do it" head shake and you still go, well that's just dumb.
We went to a game at old yankee stadium in 2002. The game started and late and ended after midnight. We went down into the subway and stopped at a little store for a drink. The guy behind the counter said" you need to leave, it's not safe".
Ummm we left, in a hurry.

Yeah I let a lot of stuff slide, but this season bugged me in the end
Did it bother anyone else just how casual everybody was when Spencer showed up and when she died?
He’s been gone for a couple years and everyone was just kind of like “oh hey”
Also, he wakes up and his wife is just laying their dead holding their baby and he just gets up and says let’s go. Lol
She did not deserve to go through all that shite to end up like that. What a sad way to go.

He just showed up like it was nothing and takes out an “army” by himself that the Duttons have been terrified of for almost a year
A good story would have been multiple episodes of him at the ranching training the cowboys to fight like banner alluded to

100%. Come on Taylor. We watch this dude for 2 years and he gets 30
minutes of air time in Montana?

I am about to start 1883
The best of all of them, IMO.
Well I just finished 1883. WTF you trying to do to me man. The ending of that. frick
Loved it and I agree, it may be my favorite of the 3 shows and it's only one season. I dont care about the hate for TS, this is how you do it. Dont drag things out. Great season.
I have never particularly cared for Tim McGraws music or his political stances but his and his wife did a fantastic job in that series.

Listened to a 1923 recap pod
They made a good point. The doc said they have to hurry to surgery and if they do the baby will die. Once the baby is out and obviously going to make it they said we have to go and she said no, even with the baby alive.
Why wouldn’t she? Selfish for Alex
Other things they mentioned
Spencer carried that gun for 2 seasons and didn’t get to even keep it
Why did Spencer blame Whitfield for Alex’s death? Wouldn’t it make more sense for Jack to kill him?
Lastly Whitfields home they burn is the governors mansion where Costner is found dead in
