Woud suck for them to lose a third time this year to ZHS in either baseball or fighting. I imagine the money spent on entry would be better served going to bail/legal expenses for parents who are trying to fight kids.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but Zachary is classless and douchetastic yet the only arrests were Teurlings parents.

Right. And no one knows all the facts according to TC/anti ZHS posters. But they won't give those supposed unknown facts either.

I wasnt condoning voilence, just found it interesting that they'd be playing in Lafayette this week. I'm sure zpd's finest will be on hand to keep everything on the up and up.

I have no affiliation with either, but I have heard on more than one occasion that Zachary, while a nice town, has more than its fair share of lower class trash.

At least these PLAYERS FIGHT. In Ascension Parish, MOM and DAD FIGHT for them. It would take work to fight in AP!

Talked to an Umpire in Chalmette last night whose usual partner umpire called this game.
Said tensions were high from the beginning...lots of trash talking from both teams.....TC kid slides into 2nd and pops up with a shove to the ZHS player and the melee' ensued.
Again.....we played TC earlier this year w/out incident. IMO....Zachary coaches WANT there kids to be brash and cocky (I have heard this from players who have played there). It's an attitude that invites trouble and ZHS has seen more than it's share.
Unfortunate....because they don't need to do it

And yet the umpires did nothing. Sportsmanship in high school ball has gotten bad over the last 5 years, and there is a lot of blame to go around. Parents, coaches, and umpires are all part of it.

Could not agree more Pique! We actually had a Destrahan player tell our coach to stfu on 3rd Base a few weeks ago......just crazy. He was talking to our dugout from the time he walked to put the tying run on in the 7th until he was left on 3rd Base and went home with a L.
The umpires never told him anything........and luckily our boys kept composure.
