Im getting on in this real late so forgicve me, as a person from Zachary who has had 3 kids go thru there, dont think all of us around here like Cassard(the Coach) most of us dont, But he is in that good ole boy click with warren Drake the supperintendent and others,Drake fired Bob Howll because of Character but lets aloon and goon like Cassard walk around Zachary! Drake why arnt you firing him. Are those players still walking around with the Shirts saying(how you like my swagger) that cassard has them wear. Drake if you were a man of your word your fire Cassard! And bring in a Coach with Alittle Class. I feel for those boys who are Sneiors ,but them and their parents should look no futher than their Head Coach when they are looking to place Blame. Now when the playoffs roll around , your kids are gonna be sitting home. Where is the Character Drake?

Couldn't agree more with this real.
Bob was ran out because he wouldn't fall in line. Same with lemoine both were discipline oriented. The year after bob left the football team got into 3 fights. I played for bob if we would have tried to pull that it we would have been disciplined harsh. Then lemoine would have probably suspended/expelled the people involved. Zachary is getting out of hand because cassard and the baseball team think they are above everyone. These kids are being brought up in this enviroment with this "in your face" attitude they call swag. When they get into the real world they are going to have a rude awakening because that attitude get's you no where. They never take responsibility for what they did but they get that attitude from the administration/coach.

Pretty sure he said program. The players are just a sub group of the whole.

There was one fight the following year against heated rival Central that took place after the game. The players responsible were removed from the team that night.

Thank you. Players should know better themselves, but they have more room for mistakes. Parents rushing the field and fighting players? Good lord, what a disgrace. I will continue to throw stones, thank you very much

I don't think i've seen a Zachary team in any sport play with class or character.

I couldn't disagree more.

Let me preface my explanation with the fact that I have never seen one ZHS baseball or football game.

This is an extremely blanket statement based on only a portion of the ZHS athletes. I have been very involved in Louisiana wrestling for the past 15 years (wrestler--->coach---->official). Since as long as I can remember the ZHS wrestlers have always carried themselves with class. I have had the pleasure of talking to Coach Moreau for hours at many recent wrestling events and he takes just as much, if not more, pride in teaching his wrestlers how to be responsible men as well as good wrestlers.

Before you ask I graduated from Catholic High and have never been involved with ZHS

So when did being confident in who you are as a person and a player become classless? I think what most people are jealous of is that Zachary is man enough to come out and say what most teams think. To sit here and say that Zachary is classless and Teurlings is full of alter boys is ludicrous. For the record i did not go to either school, but i have lived near both schools throughout my life. The last time I checked Teurlings threw the first punch, doesn't matter if they were instigated or not. This baseball season alone there have been two fights involviong four teams, and only one of those teams is being punished and made an example of. I would have loved to have had the opportunity to play for a coach like Cassard and his staff, because they demand the very best out of you on a daily basis and it shows when they play, and that is why his team is ranked #1 in 5A. What exactly is an "in your face" attitude, is that the same as believing you are better than another team/person and then going out there and proving it? If so sign me up as having an "in your face" attitude, and while you're at it you might as well sign every other person who is successful in this country as having the same attitude.

Being confident and acting like a bunch of "gamer" a-holes are totally different things.

The coaches try to get into the heads of the other team by playing w/ a chip on the shoulder, showing up the other team and it's fans and just acting like a bunch of classless punks.

It represent ZHS and Zachary in a very bad light......why do you think the cop Dads always walk the players and staff away from games??

They do it because they WANT that type of attention......well, ya got it

Now sit home during the playoffs and keep playing a "Zachary kind of Baseball"

Good luck with that.....

I'd love to hear how the LHSAA has taken the physical aggressor and allowed them to play in the playoffs, but the other team has to sit out. Get ready for the lawsuits to start flying from ZHS.

I think the 3 members on the voting panel that were with the LHSAA removed themselves from voting......

Bottom line is that ZHS has gotten many complaints in the past....this isn't there first rodeo.

Having said this....TC should not have had there ban overturned either, sets a bad precedent.

By the time any lawsuit is finished, it will be the middle of the 2012-2013 basketball season.

As someone with no ties to either school, sounds like Zachary has been a bunch of arrogant douchebags with their fans coming here to defend it. Also, Teurlings should've kept that postseason ban.

I can see where you would get that impression from this thread. Away from the baseball diamond those players put in community time helping others. When Zachary last played in Shreveport, the coaches had the players dress in uniform and visit the children at Shriners hospital. But make no mistake about it those kids are loud and play with emotion.
