I'll save you the time since you are not a lawyer, but you are out of your league. Injunctions that go into effect immediately get filed from time to time and signed the day they are filed while the hearing is pending.

As someone with no ties to either school, sounds like Zachary has been a bunch of arrogant douchebags with their fans coming here to defend it. Also, Teurlings should've kept that postseason ban.
That's fine and all, but your last line is what really matters here. If TCHS is somehow getting its banned lifted, so should ZHS. It has to be both or not.

So are you saying that Zachary would be allowed to play in the playoffs while the hearing is pending?
What if they win it all but the hearing goes against them?
Haha sorry for partying?

There are so many butt-hurt Zachary fans in this thread. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I have seen both teams play in the past year or so.. If you think Zachary wouldn't be apart of something like this you are in denial. When I saw them play I was blown away by them. Obviously not every player on the team is like this, but as a whole they did look and act like a bunch of classless players that were more worried about making themselves look good than the game itself. Not saying that TCHS is innocent by any means here, but the people in this thread pumping sunshine allover the Zachary baseball team needs to take a step away from the bias and look at what is going on.

Only if the judge signs off on it. Injunctions provide immediate relief when a judge deems it necessary. It is likely that any such action would be pushed through ASAP and hopefully heard before the playoffs.

In my opinion Zachary deserves it. I just don't like seeing my school bashed and a close friend (Cassard) get ridiculed, even though he deserves it sometimes.
Call it school pride, haha.
I am a life long Zachary resident and obviously graduated from there. The problem for me is more that TCHS and ZHS should have the same fate. Turning over TCHS's playoff ban and not ZHS's is ludicrous.

100% agree.

Yes Cam your right Zachary has had a background for fighting, but some of the players suffering this year from THIS fight had nothing to do with the ones in the past. Point blank if your going to band one you should ban the other!

Agreed. Ban one ban both. West Monroe, Pineville, Tuerlings, Zachary all got into fights. Zachary gets the death penalty. One would think a good lawyer could have this reversed based on precedent.

If a lawsuit can be filed it will, since two of Zacharys parents are judges in Baton Rouge. Oh and to the person who ask what have i ever contributed to Zachary, Not that it matters, but far more than cassard and all of his ball players probaly ever will. Have a greatday. And goo Bronco's.

I'm sure your firm will be on top of this one if any legal actions are taken, right?
Posted on 4/22/12 at 11:30 am to real
You sound like a classy guy. I'm sure the school board, mayor, and the general population of Zachary go to you for advice. If Mr. Watts doesn't like what Cassard is doing over there, he needs to make that known to him. BTW you can't please everybody.

Zachary players are douchebags word on the street.

Zachary deserves what they got because they started this shite . I have no dog in this fight.

this comes second hand from my son. his team played zachary yesterday. two of his friends came to our house after the game with him. all three told me how zachary players were real "buttholes". (he better not cuss in front of his momma)
the only two teams my kid has said anything about regarding behavior was zachary and calvary baptist out of shreveport.
it means nothing but even other kids talk about that program.

I'm actually not with them anymore. I took a job out in San Antonio for a while and just moved back. They (my old firm) do represent the school board, but I think the parents are going to go at this themselves. The school board and administration seem content with the appeal decision from quotes I've read. I'm really not sure what is going to happen next, if anything. I've heard things, but no action so far.
