re: Zachary and Liberty basketball Update: both removed from playoffs

If they both have games scheduled for tonight, the players will sit tonight and be ready for the playoffs. I could be wrong but I do not think they will be removed from the playoffs. I do not think the LHSAA has the guts to keep them out and if some influential person calls the LHSAA office, the LHSAA will do what is asked of them.

So what happens with Eunice and Washington-Marion ? .. Are all their forfeits turned in to "no contests" as if they were not played.. then adjust their power ranking and put them in the playoffs ?

Don’t look at past rulings, only go by what this admin has done- even more so under the new rules which came about after several early season football brawls.
Look for an example to be made. A message will be sent that this behavior must stop, including fans.

I’m hearing Liberty versus Central will still go on tonight. Only varsity.
ETA: The above is wrong. Both games cancelled tonight

I would think so. Players from Liberty will have to sit for their suspension to be eligible for the playoffs.

Fascinating behavior
Also took me 3 pages to figure out Liberty is Lee High School. Thought Liberty was some shitty new downtown BR charter or something.

Liberty should be done for sure, multiple players and fans directly involved.
Zachary is the only one that kinda has a chance, because they did not "start it", but their problem is #10 threw the first punch .. Other than #10 , Zachary coaches and players were mainly trying to break it up, not sure how many left the bench, I counted 8 Zachary players in the videos on youtube, but 5 of those were already in the game

I’m very curious as well to what the punishments if any at all will be.
As to the 2012 baseball brawl between TC and Zachary.
TC was let back in and went on to win the 4A title.
TC had a group of 6-7 dads that ran on to the field to go pull their sons out of the fight. The dads were banned from attending games the rest of the year. They set up a tailgate in somebody’s yard beyond the outfield wall at McMurray Park to watch their boys win state lol

As we wait for the LHSAA ruling.. does anyone know why when McMain and Mcdonoh 35 got suspended for 45 days due to the jamboree fight, their missed games were "cancelled", but Eunice and Washington-Marion who also got suspended for 45 days their games were all 2-0 forfeits.
This has a huge effect on the power rankings, basically giving Eunice/WashMar no chance to make it, but McMain/Mc35 keep their power rating intact, so McMain will be in Mc35 out

This is taking way too long, originally thought it was an obvious 45 day suspension for both teams, now I am starting to reverse course and think the LHSAA is going to slap them on the wrist, I am now thinking they will suspend a couple from Liberty and one from Zachary, then pin the rest on unruly fans, if that happens the LHSAA better be ready to deal with some extremely upset people at McMain, McDon35, Eunice and Wash-Marion

Officials will be pissed too. If the LHSAA wants retain/attract more officials, they better show they will do everything they can to protect them.

I see what the problem is in the first part of this video. People had made their minds up to fight before the game even started! How do I know--look at that video again and look at the number of people wearing camouflage pants. This was a war waiting to ignite from the start. Reminds me of the Ukraine and Russia where everyone was wearing camo before the war broke out.

Liberty should lose the privilege of playing home games for a while. That environment was chaos.
