the new rules allow for punishment(s) to carry over into the next season.

Seems logical to have punishments for people who aren’t involved and bound by rule to be there because of their home address.

The coaches and administrators are going to be back next year, so, if they want anything to change....

Zachary gets the same punishment as Liberty even though they started all this shite? bullshite

Have you seen the sanctions given to each school ?

If you see all 4 video angles, and see how the LHSAA handled the similar instances since the rule changed, you can see why both seasons are over.

What the libert player did was a tech foul, that did not clear the z player for throwing a punch.

And they did not get the same punishment, home team has more “punishment”.which they are likely going to appeal the additional sanctions.

Comical people scream for the LHSAA to do something and when they do they whine

only principals have a say, I wouldn’t bet on ALL coaches and admins being back.

He committed a technical foul

Then the Zachary kid punched him. Maybe show some restraint instead of worrying about keeping it real

Zachary is becoming a problem. Multiple brawls in different sports involving them

yeah 1982 tie score bottom of last and lead off, with a single. Take a lead and when i dove back and 1b tried to tag me he spit in my face. I got up and dropped him. I was done for the year, it hurt my team greatly. He was done for 2 games(from result of punch not and discipline). Players have to let officials handle opposing players, it really is that simple.

on a positive note the guy that spit on me likely never spit on anyone again.

Ok , care to answer which other sport(s) they were brawling in?
If it was a brawl then I’m sure the LHSAA would have stepped in and suspended the team, which hasn’t been the case up until now.

I am not referring to outright brawls as another poster was. But perhaps if no punch is thrown. This never makes the news and both are still in playoffs. Coaches at MANY schools are addressing poor sportsmanship and in many cases it is falling on deaf ears especially when parents defend it. and I'll leave it at that, it's not a Z problem but a problem in general in a LOT of places - hence the heavy sanctions.
It is starting at home and on social media before games.

You said they were in brawls in multiple sports recently, in addition to this one and I just wanted to know which one’s because I haven’t heard of any “recently”. Never said it wasn’t trashy just don’t consider 10 years ago recently.

I consider two brawls in 10 years recently, yes. Averaging 1 brawl every 5 years as a school is pretty bad

They also had one in baseball in 2005 as well

I’d trade that for the championships they’ve been winning

I watched Zachary play basketball last year. I told a buddy of mine that it would not be long before something happened. The times I’ve seen them play, they looked like punks . Even the jv team had players acting stupid.

Lots of cocky bullshite by their players over time because they are so good in so many sports.

That’s what started the Teurlings brawl about 10 years ago, as I believe the Zachary players were talking shite before the game then everything flared up after a brush up at 2nd base.

Should they be talking shite? No, act like you’ve been there. Because Zachary has in most major sports the past decade or so.
