I think the NHL and hockey fans are happy with this. We want a series not a sweep.
I agree. If I'm a casual fan, this just revived my interest.
When VGK couldn't extend that lead and the Panthers pulled Bobrovsky, I stated thinking, "yeah, I've seen this movie before. The ending usually isn't a good one."

I assume you’re talking PP execution? I don’t know, I thought Hill could’ve been a little more alert on that OT goal.
Oh well, on to the next one

Another gritty win. They need to get the PP working and this might go deep.

PP wasn't bad tonight. VGK have a bad habit of losing leads late then it goes bad in OT. The ultimate example is Game 3 against Montreal in the 2021 WCF. Knights are clinging to a 2-1 lead with just over 2 minutes when Fleury shits the bed and hands away an empty net goal to tie it. Knights go on to lose in OT and lose the series. This has the potential to be a series turning point.

Updated odds:
Game 4...Panthers -120 VGK EVEN
Series...VGK - 250 Panthers +205

Vegas is for sure a better team all around. We just need our lucky streak to continue a few more games

i have seen some teams(including mine twice off the top of my head) go up 2-0 and lose 4 straight after,
but yes that is all it takes to turn a series around.
vegas has to pour it on and finish this team in regulation.
florida is lucky as frick in one goal games and OT this year.

FHSAA has ice hockey as a state sponsored sport.
It's also a way to get out of the sun and into the A/C.

I know absolutely diddly shite about hockey, so excuse the ignorant question… but does Florida have a ton of support in that town? I know they have at least two teams (the Panthers and TB), but Florida doesn’t exactly strike me as a hockey town (state)
Tampa’s a pretty solid hockey town.
The Panthers, on the other hand, have had pretty bad/embarrassing attendance for quite a long time. However, they’ve also been a very unsuccessful organization on the ice for the vast majority of their existence, and Sunrise is also maybe the most inconveniently located arena in the whole league other than perhaps Ottawa’s. So hard to know how much of the poor attendance is due to the quality/quantity of the fanbase itself, and how much is due to the aforementioned low success/bad location.
I’m curious if they’ve ever thought about building/attempted to get funding to build a new arena in downtown Fort Lauderdale (although the arena in Sunrise is still “only” 25 years old).

Lots of snowbirds that live down here don't mind having an NHL team to watch, especially if their original home team is playing against the Panthers.
Back in the early 2000s, Panthers tickets were sometimes cheaper than Marlins tickets. My mom worked for the county and would get box seats every so often, lots of fun times. Like most sports in South Florida, no one is going to take time out of their busy day and drive through the BS traffic to watch a piss poor product.
I wouldn't say it's in a bad location, it's far enough away from the interstate to not get congested with traffic before/after games, but it's next to one of the biggest shopping malls in the world and that makes it notoriously busy.
It would cost a fortune and a half to do that, and they don't have any championships to warrant such a purchase. The setup they have now is fine. It's used for concerts and events all the time. I think an FTL location would be awesome but I would hate to have to drive out that way for a game, considering downtown Fort Lauderdale is also another traveling nightmare.

This Vegas team is really good at hockey.

Vegas will be a deserving cup winner but we will always wonder what if they would have faced a “better” team from the East
