Would Tiger Woods have beaten Nicklaus in majors if he had continued with Butch Harmon?

I think so.

Tiger would be (and has an argument) the best golfer of all time, if it weren’t for his mental issues, that he blames on his back.

Some people just aren't cut out to be the best
Like Tiger.
Equally not the best as me

He may have if it weren’t for that thanksgiving night. However when he shows me 19 2nd places finishes in majors then we can put them in the same conversation.

His swing was always going to break his body down. Many said during his career the tourque on his back and knees would eventually lead to exactly what it lead to. So imo. No.

No, that swing ended up wrecking his knee.
He won more and was a better iron player under Haney

Tiger Woods is the undisputed GOAT. There’s really nothing to argue at this point.

Disaster waiting to happen. Butterfly effect. If he doesn’t smash trash bag whores on ambien, he gets in a wreck ruining his career. He was destined to blow it

23%. That’s Tiger’s career win percentage, which includes all the years he tried to play thru injuries. He’s the most dominant player ever.

Really. Nicklaus 18 major wins, Tiger 15. 2nd place finishes in majors, Nicklaus 19, Tiger 6. I would say that’s a pretty damn good argument.

That and when they started PED testing, the injuries began to pile up.
96-2007 one minor surgery (drain a knee)
2008- PGA begins PED testing.
2008- current, multiple procedures/withdrawals/time away every season.
IMHO, I agree with you. It was the swing that was the ultimate force that broke him down. But….. a coincidence that makes me scratch my head.

What don’t you get. His mental issues caused him a divorce, a down spiral in his golf career and car accidents that hurt his back. Dude lost his mind too many times in his careeer.

Tiger is the best golfer ever. Nicklaus can add another second place to his resume.

He wrecked his knees because he has daddy issues and thinks he should jog on the sidewalk in combat boots so he can play Navy Seal
I think he breaks the record if he started 2 or 3 years earlier. Once the clubs and balls evolved to the point where he couldn't just bomb it past 90% of the field, he had trouble beating guys that can hit fairways and short irons
He's still the most exciting golfer ever

He’s my favorite golfer of all time. But he fricked up his own career, and potential, and he’s got some issues. Sorry for my original take, but I stand by it. If he was in a good place mentally, he would’ve been more successful, and it wouldn’t be debatable who the greatest golfer of all time is.

Yes. It also would have helped if he wasn't a pill-popping man whore who wrecked his vehicle into a tree and got beat in the head with a 9 iron by his wife.
