Meh, I can see why... Many people thought the Astros would wipe the floor with the Nationals including the experts. Probably games 3+ will see higher ratings as people tune into see if this happens.

Surprised yesterday's numbers were that low. Was a great game until the meltdown

I'm not really, I'm surprised they were lower than the day before. I'd be curious for a regional break down of the numbers

It's just gonna get worse.

People might spike it a little out of curiosity to watch the Nats win their 1st World Series in Game 4.

The TV playoff package is idotic...

I do agree with this
The World Series is on Fox (regular Fox here its regular cable channel 5)
But the rest of the AL playoffs have been on FS1
Move them all to Fox. Unless an NFL game is being played

I'm not concerned for the sport. However baseball really needs to re-examine their marketing. Nats-Astros was never going to be a huge draw, but it should be higher than this.

Baseball needs to fix the season length issue. The World Series keeps starting later and later (at least that’s what it feels like to me) and so many people have already tuned out to football and NBA starting up.

Then starting the series on a Tuesday/Wednesday?

Just seems like weird choices

If you watched MLB Network this season, it's been nothing but Yankees and Bosox, with the Dodgers a distant 3rd.

MLB Network could be a tremendous tool to spread the word, but it's a stat nerd, East Coast biased turd.

No going to lie, even though I'm a casual Stros fan, I watched Pelicans opening night basketball over game one. Much more exciting

who? Osuna & Gurriel? Bregman, Correa, Verlander, Cole, & Springer are all very likeable players. Altuve is easily the most likable player in the entire MLB outside of Trout. The Astros are not a hated team with hateable players that's just a false narrative.
