Yes, the Algeria goal “ stopped the clock” until the ball was put back in play. And refs will always allow the “final rush” to play out, even if it extends the clock a bit.

I joke around a lot, but the most moronic thing in sports, BY FAR, is the game clock management system by soccer .
It's so retarded, that a normal human that does understand, struggles with self doubt trying to explain it.

At the 90th minute the additional time is given based on what has transpired to that point. So of course when Algeria scores and spends two minutes celebrating, they're going to add that time back on the clock. It may not be as straightforward as you'd like it to be, but it certainly is not rocket science

Simply stop the clock when you deem time is being wasted on non playing issues. There is no need to start a seperate timer to determine how long eglasias celebrates sliding on his knees after some random score. Only to add a portion back at the end of the 2st clock, which is or is not an exact time added. No one really knows, ever, how much time is exactly left.
90 completed, +6, vould easily end up being + 10
And all of this stupid shite, instead of the official simply stopping the clock, and starting again upon reply.
