I tuned into the NFL Pro Bowl to watch former LSU Tigers compete. I was shocked. No blocking, no tackling, no rushing, no blitzing, no football. After half a dozen plays, I was done and switched over to golf. More action there. If the NFL is concerned about injuries in a meaningless game, why play it? Is the the future of the NFL under super-woke Roger Goodell? He orders "End Racism" banners prominently displayed at NFL games in which white/hispanic/Asian players are statistically underrepresented, while happily purchasing blood-stained NFL uniforms manufactured with slave labor from the world's most vicious totalitarian regime.

There is a lot to unpack here.

But the Pro Bowl has literally always sucked.

A buddy texted me saying it was 2 hand touch.....I thought he was speaking in hyperbole cause they've always played soft....no, literally 2 hand touch. I can't believe people paid for a ticket to that joke lol

The players have too much to lose these days. If they get hurt playing in a meaningless game, it could mean incentive in contracts aren't going to be met blah blah blah. The NFL is cancer If it wasn't for Joe in Cincy I could care less to watch it. Saints about to go back to the paperbag days but they deserve it, just look at the HC search it's about fulfilling a Narrative not trying to get the best candidate. So far no candidate they have interviewed I'd hire and their picks for interviews just keep getting worse. Allen is probably the best candidate of the ones they have interviewed and he sucked as a HC.

It makes no sense to play the game with the physicality if the league. It's not worth these guys to risk injury by playing in an meaningless exhibition. They should rethink how to play though

Seems like your own fault for expecting more out of the pro bowl.

Yeah… it’s always sucked.

Apparently not only does it take more than a week to put together a competent football team, millionaires generally don’t want to risk their bodies in exhibition games. And guess why, their employers don’t want them too either.

But let’s rope China into this somehow.

Some posters stub their toe and y’all “damn you BLM!”

I refuse to watch the NFL for many reasons, but a big one is they went Woke. It's supposed to be entertainment, and I don't want to be hit over the head with NFL messaging that I'm a racist. I get that message everywhere else in society - and I sure don't need it in sports.

So I'm out.

Lol if you think it’s about find the best candidate. That’s a narrative too, a very naive one

First of all, the ProBowl has sucked for as long as I can remember. These guys barely practice together, dont have much time for playbook/scheme, and no one wants to get hurt in a truly meaningless game. For some of the players heading to free agency in particular it is a risk.

Like another poster said the skills comp is more compelling.

The NFL still holds it every year because... money.

Just name an All-Pro team, have a skills comp, and be done with it.

As yo the "End Racism" banners, im trying to decipher what could be so offensive to your sensibilities about ending racism. Maybe the fact that recent reports suggest that Goodell and the league only pay lip service to the battle against racism, and are just sweep it under the rug on their own orginizations/league unless they are exposed and have to make an example.

If the hypocracy of the banners is the issue, im with you.

I watched like 5 minutes of the pro bowl many years ago. Never again.

I'd rather they compete in other ways like video games or darts. It's always been that bad.
