Sports brings about a competitive Element that all those other things you mention only dream of. If you are a competitor like me you will watch sports bc it is the highest level of competition. I could care less about what woj said or what drew said or what Malcolm said or whatever.
Lots of people huff and puff and say “WE DONT CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT POLITICS” when In actuality they truly do care If you really dont care, like me, it would not affect your viewership at all.

In writing that letter to Silver, this Senator did more sports journalism than anyone at ESPN. Deep down everyone knows that the NBAs wokeness is superseded by the bottom line and the hypocrisy should be highlighted

It’s going to be hard for me to not watch NFL football, and I’m not saying that I won’t. It will be no problem at all to never watch the NBA again.

Now the term "Nah Woj" is trending on twitter with people defending Woj. I don't know yet if these are just really, really stupid people who don't understand what the issue here is, or if it's Chinese bots.
