I liked the signing and think it does hurt. Even if he was only giving them 15/7/7 in somewhat limited minutes.

At least they can sign someone else with the money now.

ETA: That’s just a terrible joke

I do though think Louisiana people overall react worse than other states as a whole to someone "leaving them"

People weren't mad about him leaving. Lots of people didn't want to even offer him a contract at all after the injury. People were mad at him for lying about not being offered by the Pels at all.

Really? Guy ripped up his knee and you think he deserved it?

when did i say that? I never once said he deserved it. did you even read the follow up post?

While he showed how much of an a-hole he was with the way he handled last summer, the guy is just kind of an a-hole in general. Which is why some would say karma. I didn't distinguish which one I thought it was.

My OP is just playing devils advocate. I have no ill will towards DMC. No one is wishing for injuries besides Vanilla Ice who's clearly retarded.

The lakers slim chance of winning a title is much slimmer. Boogie bouncing back and improving to maybe 80-85% of what he was in New Orleans/Sacramento was desperately needed after Kawhi turned the Lakers down.

I'm sure if I go back to when he was signed I'd find that you were laughing at it

Pretty sure most of the Louisiana hate is coming from him rejecting the Pels contract to go to Golden State

I fully don't understand that.

If he'd stayed, say goodbye to Zion. And even if you're a Pels fan, is it particularly hard to understand why he might join GS?

Being loyal to your favorite team is cool, but it's not hard to see what the Warriors offered Boogie that the Pels didn't.

I don't understand why Pels fans wouldn't be moving on to embracing the future of their franchise. They have bright young stars to celebrate, but are still out here hung up on Boogie?

Well, yeah. Everyone was laughing at the lakers when Kawhi trolled them and they had to sign a bunch of C and D list players at the last minute.

Truth hurts. It's going sting watching Boston string together a better record than the Lolakers.

Because we are actual fans of our team. Not some bandwagon fan.

Damn. I feel bad for Boogie. He's had a terrible run of injury luck.

some would say it's luck, some would say it's karma

mostly logically inferred when you start with a 6 10" 265 lb man jumping for a living for several years and some previous history of tendon stories.

It happens. To me at age 34.
At my height of perfection of the game of basketball.

Im watching a Russian tennis player vs Federer.

Hes had a wrist injury and a back injury. Voice on tv says, bad luck. No. He plays tennis for a living.

Partly ring chasing, partly spite.

A better shot at a title in a nicer city and ~38 million less to do so.

The majority of Pels fans aren't as spiteful as you think, and we have our fair share of shite fans like that vanilla ice douche, but look at the facts

- we offered 2/40
- he was mad about it, because he's dumb
- he shopped us, got lower offers everywhere else
- he came back and we lowered the offer because we got knowledge of the market
- he got really mad and left because he played himself

But the really shite part of it is him trying to paint us in a bad light to a media that always believes the player over the organization. Saying there was "no real offer". That fricking unnecessary lie was classic DeMarcus Cousins.

We're capable of being excited about Zion while still giving him the finger.

I don't support rooting for injury at all. But the facts are that DeMarcus cost himself a lot of money by being stubborn and arrogant.

Not really:

quote:

So, they could:

1. Sign a guy for $1.75M or the minimum, whichever is less.
2. Trade for a guy making up to $1.85M
3. Or claim a guy who was waived in the last year of his deal who makes less than $1.75M

Basically, not many decent options for that route. Most of their guys probably can't be traded along with exceptions this early, so they're going to be rifling through the bargain bin.

And for bitching out and not attending the Portland series because he said his doctor said no flying. Meanwhile, he posts pictures of him on his agent's plane flying to Coachella and Vegas.

Damn that sucks. I hated the guy but actually really feel bad for Boogie now. He really can't catch a break. Has it been reported which leg it was. (Ie the recovering achilles tear or the other one.
