This basically means a starting lineup of
Darius Garland
Donovan Mitchell
Isaac Okoro
Evan Mobley
Jared Allen

Not bad at all. Two 7-footers, paired with two 6'1 guys. Will be interesting to see how they mesh.

The players in the deal aren't anything special. The picks the Knicks could afford to match.

Don’t trust Okoro but that core is young. Mobley 21, Garland 22, Allen 24, and Mitchell 26 later this month.

It's better than Evan Fournier, Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, and Immanuel Quickley. Whatever package of players the Knicks were offering the Jazz wanted more than 5 picks attached. Mitchell, Brunson, Barrett, and Randle(who doesnt want to be there) is a maybe a home court advantage play-in team.

Cavs need some wing defenders -- Okoro is too small to defend big wings.

Really nice young core, though.

Cleveland is sending its three unprotected picks to Utah in 2025, 2027 and 2029 and picks swaps in 2026 and 2028, sources tell ESPN. Along with the Rudy Gobert trade with Minnesota, Utah has gathered 13 unprotected or lightly protected picks through 2029.

Only if you assume that was their best and final. On the pick assumption, I believe the main sticking point on the picks were what was protected and not... not the total amount being moved.

Mobley can't clean up everything

Luckily they have okoro and Allen too.

This whole thing will depend on how Mobley develops offensively

The Cavs are making a serious run at this. I think some of y’all need a refresher of who the Cavs have…

Darius Garland
Donovan Mitcheli
Isaac Okoro
Jarrett Allen
Evan Mobley

Ricky Rubio
Caris Levert
Kevin Love
Robin Lopez
Cedi Osman
Dylan Windler
Isiah Mobley

This team is DEEP!! Cavs have height, length AND athleticism. They have legit closers…and we have youth!! This team is top 3 in the Eastern Conference.

They can be much improved and still battling for a play in spot IMO.

I can't say with any certainty that CLE is better than any of those teams at this point.

Bad trade for the Cavs imo.

Is it though? The three unprotected firsts, assuming they stay relatively healthy will be in the 20s. Nobody wanted Sexton at whatever he was looking for in FA.

Imo both sides win. Utah got more picks and young players while Cleveland got a top 20ish guy (not a big fan of Mitchell) while keeping their core together.

People keep forgetting the Cavs get Rubio back…when he went down last year, the Cavs had the 2nd best record in the East at the time. Cavs also get a full off-season for Levert. The Cavs did all of those good things WITHOUT Sexton last year…now you add in a player like Mitchell…Cavs are a very dangerous team!!

I won't blame you because the Cavs are never on national television, but this is a terrible take

The Cavs are now setup to be a top team in the East for years to come. Those first rounder are very likely to be picks in the 20’s. I think it’s a great trade for them.

They might be better than the Heat but what about the Heat?
