It's a shame.
Massillon itself is a shell of what it was; there isn't any reason to move there now. I drove over for the Massillon-Steubenville game last October and the whole town just looked old and tired. I know they played for the state title in '05(?) and they remain pretty competitive, but they haven't actually won it all since 1970. You're right, it's a shame.

Massillon Washington has been hurt over the years with students now attening Massillon Perry and Massillon Jackson. Washington just isnt the same anymore. Canton McKinley is the same way, Canton Glen Oak, Canton Timken and North Canton Hoover have become better programs overall then McKinley. The shift in power in football over the last 10 years and into the future IMO will be in central Ohio. Columbus Ohio's growth is changing the landscape of power in Ohio.
