Granted that we are only 3 games in but I just don’t get how the highly paid GMs can get so sucked into the narrative that they miss what everyone else sees.

Wild right?

Williams has a mentality made of glass. Anyone with eyes saw that coming from a mile away. We'll see if he can mature, but it's not looking good.

Daniels looked very good past night. If he can work on his progressions, he will be very good. He does look scrawny so he definitely can't be taking unnecessary hits.

The thing is it’s not even one of the “fireable offenses” if you miss. Jayden was a heisman winner with insane speed, solid arm and solid accuracy and at minimum the consensus number 2 pick. If you draft him and miss. Everyone chalks it up to “eh you never really know williams had some red flags himself” etc

If they fell in love with say Micahel penix or bo nix that’s a fireable offense if you draft them at 1 they bust and Williams performs.

It is if he busts and Williams is an all pro

I barely heard him talked about on college football shows, social media, etc...

All the hype is coming from NFL media crowning him the next Patrick Mahomes.

I think he is gonna be a huge bust, but you just weren't paying attention if you didn't hear about him in college. He won the heisman ffs. I certainly saw way too much of him before all the draft hype started. Been sick of that dude for a while.

Daniels-very good and NFL mainstay for several years. Hope he doesn’t get injured because he’s not built for contact.

Maye-nah

Bo-Surprisingly competent starter who makes tons of money playing football.

Penix Jr.-Upper end journeyman qb

Williams-Good but not quite elite

JJ-Career backup

Agree mostly with the list, maybe a couple exceptions.

Daniels - I think he'll turn out the best because he quietly does all the things that makes an NFL QB be successful. Mainly, he doesn't turn the ball over. Look at his time in college and he makes the smart play and doesn't try and overextend his abilities. Turnovers in the NFL are the key indicator of losing. The numbers are stark.

Maye / JJ / Penix - No real idea yet, haven't seen enough of any of them. Penix may have injury issues that shortens his career, but you can't really predict that.

Bo - WIll be around a long time because of his natural abilities, but unlike Daniels, he doesn't do the things well that align with NFL success. He turns the ball over too often and isn't accurate enough when he needs to be.

Williams - The guy is a head case with great arm talent. He makes the great unscripted splash plays that makes everyone fall in love with him, but really struggles on your typical "system" and game management. He's just bad at the basics. Maybe he can clean that up, but he'll have to mature quickly.

What I found the most interesting is that the consensus was that Daniels wouldn’t bust and the overall consensus was that Williams would.
we're on tigerdroppings. That wasn't the consensus everywhere else.

Penix if he stays healthy. Sitting behind Cousins for 2-3 years will be valuable.

Daniels. He will be a good one IMO.

Maye has everything you need to be a top 3 QB but I wonder if he is a system QB. He also makes a ton of terrible decisions.

He is in arguably the worst situation

The fact that he's not starting alone makes him in not the worst situation

Well we are but fans of teams aside from LSU we’re saying the same.

It isn’t like this was an only LSU narrative

Daniels- Lots of potential to be elite
Maye- BUST, just does not impress me much
Bo- will be shockingly good in a few years
Penix Jr.- Teddy Bridgewater type of career
Williams- the next Dak Prescott
JJ- another Zac Wilson

So far I’m doing well with my projections outside of Penix and JJ

Problem is, nothing long-term will be answered after the season, and Penix and JJ won't have anything to judge.

Maye is in a shitty situation in NE, hard to really know with him being thrown into that fire.

I think that its safe to say that Daniels is the real deal though, and barring injury, he will have the best career.

Bo has look promising as well.

Williams is basically what everyone thought it he is.
