Sad but true. No one will care until it happens to someone like the cowboys.

eh. theres been enough public back lash against the non call so i really wouldnt be surprised if we get some movement on being able to challenge penalties

Would McVay be able to challenge the face mask no call or we just going CFL rule then?

What’s sad is that there were two refs in perfect position to make the call. It wasn’t just one guy

i go back and forth on how i want to see this done. i generally dont like the idea about challenging a no call. but im starting to change my mind after yesterday with both the goff facemask and the PI at the end of regulation. i think a good compromise would be giving teams one penalty challenge a game and allow them to use it however they want

CFL gives you 2 PI challenges but may just be 1 half. Not sure how they do it other than know you can challenge it. So all judgement calls should be open to review ie holding mask pi etc?

which is where it gets tricky. i dont want people to be able to review holds as we can literally stop every play in football and have that happen. but after that? im open to it

allowing PIs to be reviewable is a good start

I don’t like reviewing any judgement calls. I think you should only review scoring change of possessions and line to gain plays where there is definite point to get to

But I also think having replay not on site is stupid as well

If they implement challenging penalties, they really need to streamline the review process.. no matter what’s going on, as soon as a play ends, an official in the booth needs to start looking at the play. No need to wait for all the shenanigans on the field to go down and for the coach to throw the challenge flag. Let them start reviewing it immiediately, then if a coach or an official decides its worth a look, they have their answer immiediately. No need for them to run off to the side and look under a hood or anything like that, have the answer ready (when applicable) as soon as they decide it’s under review

The game flow is horrible enough in some games..

Ive never thrown skittles in someones lawn, but ive heard of it. As when it rains, color comes out of it and stains the grass.

He ruined his own career. If an athlete drops a game winning TD or if a Coach blows it they get fired. Same should hold true for the officials.

You can challenge pass interference in the CFL. 20/42 PIs challenged were overturned this season.

Berman didn't clarify if that included NON calls that were challenged

That's what I figured. So that wouldn't have mattered yesterday for example

but an athlete dropping 1 pass or a coach blowing one call never really ends their career. Continuous dumb shite would, but not 1 thing.
