I had a friend who transferred from curtis to rummel because he couldn't cut it at Curtis when I was in hs.

He told me sports is the entire focus at that school and that JT will do anything to win because he had an ax to grind.

Kyle Wickersham.

6'3" almost 6'4" about 220-225 or so.

Can sling it like his dad.

He and Moore will hurt the Catholic league this year big.

Very strong tailback also who is a bowling ball Sturgis is his name-about 5'9" 220.

Curtis will earn that shite this year. Catholic BR will be stacked also.

Well there’s 3 contenders in D1, so really Curtis will have an easy path to the title while CHS and Rummel fight it out again. I’m guessing that’s gonna be how it is every year actually.

Anyone asked the legend Curtis his thoughts on moving the title games from the Superdome outside?

I Would love to hear his thoughts.

Yeah, they have racked up championships by blatantly ducking the big boys for years. And they are rarely called out about it. I was really hoping they would go O for, for as long as possible, and was kinda pissed when they won last year. It's still got an asterisk in my book due to the split. They were exposed back in 1999 when Evangel moved up to 5A to battle with the big boys and Curtis was like, no thanks, we'll just stay in 4A and keep adding to the trophy case. If Calvary never came to exist and created a virtual split squad with Evangel, Curtis might have won in the dome once or twice this century!

That’s an insanely inaccurate take lol

Go ahead and name for me the Curtis players that have made it to the NFL in the last 15 years.

Let me help you.

LINK

Dillon Gordon is currently in the NFL as a glorified PS player. That's it.

Joe McKnight, sadly, we know what happened to him, but he wasn't much when he played in the NFL anyways.

10 total NFL players from that school. None of whom you would consider a star.

Very few players on Power five teams.

The team with the most rushing yards and fewest turnovers wins 99.8% of all football games at any level.....

how's that for creative offenses....

system players don't pan out.. plus the pack catches up with hold backs at the collegiate level.

They will take an 8th grader and place him in 7th at JC. By the time the kid is a senior, he is the maximum age/maturity allowed to play high school sports.

Don’t think they really do this any more
JC is not the only one nor or they the worst at this.. but it's rolled back to 6 grade and has been for years.

I get that.
The H.S. coach's job is not, necessarily to place his players in the NFL. He is not paid for that.

I’ve never heard anyone say this...well, because it is laughably inaccurate

In LSU’s recent golden era alone they have had about 10 guys receive scholarships

They’ve sent kids to programs like Ohio state, Michigan, usc, UCLA, Arizona and Florida

Actually 12,That’s damn good. Maybe you know who Duke Riley is?

But You should look at other schools for context. Is it St Augustine? No. About equal to west Monroe? Yup. More than Evangel? Yup

Rummel has been a top 3-5 state program for a while and I think they’ve had 2 nfl players.

Now let's find those numbers for everyone else who has 2A enrollment

So 10 over 20 years?

None of those schools have won anywhere near the number of state titles that JC has won.

You keep proving my point. They are winning due to coaching and system, not talent.

to LSU alone...

Who do you think has more? maybe West Monroe. Maybe

There isn't a high school in LA that sends more kids to P5 schools than John Curtis the last few decades.

Since 2010 they have sent kids to

LSU (multiple)
Miss St (multiple)
Oregon
Arizona
UCLA
Washington State
Texas A&M
TCU
Tennessee
Arizona ST
stanford
louisville
nebraska

and that is just the P5 schools

you dont know what you are talking about
