LOL

Zakoby McClain, LB Auburn:

Total tackles: 95
Solo: 55
Assists: 40

Zakoby beats Anderson in every major category. Bama fans have embarked on this never-ending heisman campaign for all of their players. I can’t wait for the next Mac Jones thread by one of them where he deserves NFL MVP.

Will Anderson is having a hell of a year, but that graphic just highlights how incredible Suh and Donald were to rack up those stats as DT’s on less talented squads. Suh’s stats are unreal.

Are you sure those are good numbers?

Leads the nation in sacks and TFL but he’s not setting records in either. Good not insane numbers.

Alabama isnt undefeated and you aren’t ranked #1. And that defense is ranked 20th in scoring.

Obviously a huge SECCG could change all that, but it’s a huge uphill battle for defensive players and agains he’s good but not historically so.

Can you provide TFL and Sacks, please?

Suh, Warren Sapp and Steve Entman are defensive players that far stood out and should've won the Heisman.

At least we can all agree it's a damn shame that defensive players don't win the Heisman.

Oh I agree with you 100%. Hell Bama should’ve had a couple of defensive Heisman guys over the year. A shame the beat player in the country doesn’t get recognized as such.

Two of those guys are interior linemen, which isn’t a fair comparison to a rush end.

IIRC Bosa played end in a 3-4 scheme which would also limit his numbers.

I knew Anderson was great, but didn't realize his stats were that impressive.

And lol at Suh having 10 PBUs. Thats insane for a 2 technique. Mark Ingram winning the Heisman over him was criminal.

beast player but he will probably get drafted by the Lions or Jets next year only to become an afterthought.

those numbers are impressive, but Is Anderson even the best Defensive player?

UM’s Hutchison has 54 tackles, 14.5 TFL, and 12 sacks as a DT

Damone Clark has 135 tackles, 15 TFL and 5.5 sacks as a OLB

no one is calling for those two guys as Heisman candidates

I would absolutely buy this as the third best season for a defensive player on a top ranked squad in the last 15 years

And I fully support receivers, defensive players, and maybe even an offensive lineman winning the Heisman instead of just quarterbacks.

Glad to see Devonta Smith last year and I would had voted for Suh, probably the Honey Badger, and would have voted for Anderson this year.

Did we go from this thread this morning to Young winning this thing unanimously? Holy shite.
